TWU Fall 2020 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:

Overall: 85.3%

Reading: 87.2%

Math: 96.9%

Science: 74.5%

English: 83.3%

I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.

I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.

Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?

I have emailed the senior secretary in the college of nursing about the probability of getting the admission process delayed because of coronavirus virus and she replied that as far as she knows it will not.

So fingers crossed. Let us hope we will hear by this month end.

Thanks for sharing, that would be great if it isn't delayed.

Fall 2019 got emails March 29th. I’m hoping it’s soon. I’m so tired of waiting but honestly time really flew by.

I agree! It's gone by way faster than I thought it would.

Just checked my email and saw Inhad a ton of updates from this thread! Current J1 here ? From the communication we've been getting it sound like staff has been on campus this week and staff are returning to normal schedules next week for the rest of the semester, so hopefully that means they are still working hard on getting through y'alls apps. For Spring 20 we actually heard back a week earlier than past years so I'll keep my fingers crossed for y'all!

I may be biased, but this is the best school y'all. Even after considering other school's when I was applying I honestly cant imagine myself anywhere else. We are treated like family and are so very well taken care of, I hope y'all hear back soon so you can join!

Do you remember how you were notified? Was it the TWU email or the nursingCAS email?

It will be to the email you used when you applied to NursingCAS, not your TWU email unless that's what you used in NursingCAS!

That was definitely my impression of TWU. Everyone seems so compassionate.

How has it been doing clinicals amid covid-19?

Your impression won't fail you! So my clinical isn't scheduled to start until April at Memorial Hermann, so far it has not been cancelled. However groups who have clinicals at a few other sites (Methodist and VA) have been postponed but those students will do other simulations to complete their clinical hours from what I understand!

I feel that! Cmon I just want to hear back and rip that bandaid off!!

What range is everyone’s admission score in? I feel like mine isn’t as high compared to those with bachelor bumps. I applied to the Houston campus btw
