TWU Fall 2020 Applicants

Updated:   Published

Hey there. I plan on applying to TWUs N&W program in February for the Fall 2020 start. I just took my TEAS test today, my score was:

Overall: 85.3%

Reading: 87.2%

Math: 96.9%

Science: 74.5%

English: 83.3%

I'm not happy with my science score, but I also haven't taken A&P II or Chemistry yet, just A&P I. I plan on retaking the TEAS in December.

I have a 3.85 science core GPA (one B in A&P I) and 3.81 prereq GPA. that gives me a 45.56 admission score, which probably won't cut it. I can't retake A&P I in time, so my only hope is a higher TEAS score.

Who else is applying for Fall 2020? Are you applying to Houston, Dallas Traditional, or Dallas N&W?

I will be applying for the N&W program as I cant afford to quit working full time. I currently have 54pts (assuming I finish micro with an A).

Does anyone know if it matters what our degree was in for the bachelor's bump? Mine was not healthcare related lol

If you can’t find the answer on the web site, this would be a question for the advisor at the program office. Give them a ring or send an email.

It doesn't matter, any accreditted bachelor's counts ?

When we apply to TWU initially through ApplyTexas, do we apply as a Transfer or a Transient applicant if we already have a bachelor degree from somewhere else? If anyone knows, I would really appreciate it! I'm a little confused

Transfer. Transient means you are enrolled at another as school primarily and are only looking to take one or two classes at TWU. TWU will take your first bachelors degree into consideration when you apply for the nursing program, it gives you an advantage by the way ? Good luck!

You're very welcome! And thank you so much I can't wait to start ??

Hi! I was wondering if anyone knows about how long it takes for TWU Denton to accept your application. My application has been ready for review for almost 2 weeks so I’m just curious.
Thank you!

I believe it could be up to 6 weeks! With it being holiday season/close to end of semester/planning orientation they may be moving a little slower right now!

Yeah, I submitted my application about a month ago and still have not heard back.
