TWU Fall 2013 Applicants

Hello everyone!

I am starting this thread... a year early. That is how much I want to be accepted into the Fall 2013 BSN program at TWU in Dallas. I am taking my TEAS on August 30 so that if I have to, I can take it again the following application period (after September 1). I have finished my prerequisites (last week of Summer AP2 right now, hurray).

I hope other people see this forum so that we can all talk and encourage each other about getting into the program (and be stressed out together)! Seriously hoping that this next year flies by! I Look forward to get to know other hopefuls!

I emailed the TWU nursing coordinator and she said emails at the end of the week.

Bummer! I wish today were the day. I keep checking my mail like every 5 mins! lol Now, this week seems so looong. :cry: Thank you for emailing the school and letting us know!

Just out of curiosity, I know you've already been accepted to utmb bc I stalk this stupid website, lol but is twu your first choice, I've applied to both and will be great full to be accepted to either one but now that I really think about it, if I were accepted to both Im not 100% were I would choose? What's your reasoning behind your choice?

I know that wasn't directed toward me. But I also applied to UTMB. I personally would choose TWU over UTMB due to the fact that I prefer to stay in the Houston location and the medical center is quite prestigious. But UTMB has more of a university campus feel if that persuades you in any way. I think both schools are good though and you can't really make a bad decision :)

Tessthebest, I've applied to UTHSC, TWU and UTMB. Like you said, I am already accepted to UTMB, but I'm still debating which school I really want to go. They're all nice schools, and that's why it makes me hard to decide. Since I live closer to TWU and UTHSC, and I cannot move closer to UTMB because of my husband's work, I will have to consider commuting to UTMB if I decide to go. So, I'm still keeping myself open to any possibilities. I know for sure I'll be happy to go any of these school though!

I just got my acceptance e-mail from UT-health in Houston!!! Since that was my first choice, I'm going with them. Good luck to you guys!! :)

I've heard from different people that the bump weighs differently. I have a 3.62 GPA, 3/4 first preferences, and an 82 on the TEAS and the bump. I've heard the bump acts like another first preference A, and then also I've heard the bump adds those points to the GPA, but then I heard that it doesn't get counted if the GPA is higher than 4.0 with the bump. So if you have a 3.7 and you have the bump it is only counted as a .3 bump because it cuts off at 4.0.

Has anyone else heard differently?
