TWU Fall 2013 Applicants

U.S.A. Texas

Published

Hello everyone!

I am starting this thread... a year early. That is how much I want to be accepted into the Fall 2013 BSN program at TWU in Dallas. I am taking my TEAS on August 30 so that if I have to, I can take it again the following application period (after September 1). I have finished my prerequisites (last week of Summer AP2 right now, hurray).

I hope other people see this forum so that we can all talk and encourage each other about getting into the program (and be stressed out together)! Seriously hoping that this next year flies by! I Look forward to get to know other hopefuls!

Me too!! Are you applying to the Dallas campus? Seems like everyone is applying to that campus haha.

Yes I am lol! I know hope I get in!!!

Who else is applied to the TWU Dallas campus for the fall 2013!?

Im applying for Dallas! I have been trying to save as much as possible too. Maybe ill just work one day a week for extra cash, but Im hoping not to take out a huge loan if I can help it.

I'm applying for Fall at Dallas too. I applied for this Spring but didn't get in. I was #13 on the wait list. I had a 3.78 GPA, 2/4 first attempts, and a 96 on the TEAS. I'm retaking classes now to boost my GPA and at the end of the semester I'll be eligible for the TWU bump so if I don't get in this fall, I'll have a better chance for next Spring. Good luck to all who applied!

Oh wow, good job on your TEAS, that's an amazing score! Im shocked you didn't get in....i guess it's just that competitive. Good luck!!

I made a 69.3% on teas and Gpa is around 3.6 with bump should be 4.0. Hopefully it's good enough to get in! I have some money already saved up in case I don't feel comfortable working. I also have a 5 year old son that will be 6 in the fall! I know it's going to be hard to balance out my time but it is also doable!! Wish you all luck!!

Hi all

I'm also applying to twu houston campus. I have 4/4 A's, 3.54 overall GPA, and a 3.8 Science GPA, i also made a 79.3%

Readying through the thread i don't think my grades are high enough to be accepted to twu, but i can hope, i'm also applying

to like four other nursing programs. Although i have heard it's easier to be accepted to the houston campus then it is to be accepted to the other campus, anyways good luck to everyone looking forward to starting nursing school, somewhere hopefully.

I've applied to the Dallas Campus, but the Evening/Weekend program. I will be working 5 days a week at my full time job as I'm the breadwinner in my family, but that's why I want the evening/weekend program. My stats are earlier in the thread, but I have a 3.9, all first attempt As and got a 94 on the TEAS. Even still, nothing is set in stone until we receive those letters. And MAN, I'm already on pins and needles. Waiting until the end of March?!?! I've been checking my email every day already! If I didn't have all of my daughter's charter school apps to stalk too, I think I'd go crazy!

I'm sure you'll get in. Those first attempts are the biggest thing so that's what is killing me. I took Micro and statistics like 8 and 5 years ago and dropped them but that still counts as first attempts.

I feel the same way about my stats not measuring up. We will just have to wait and see :) there are always other options.

Greetings to all of you, I'm a J1 at TWU-Dallas and know exactly the emotions you are feeling right now. Best wishes to all of you. Our J1 class is currently in the first round of exams. If I could give you one bit of advice, I'd tell you to COMPLETE PATHO BEFORE nursing classes begin! One plus to taking it in Dallas is the opportunity to get acclimated to campus and tutor sessions are available to you there. If taking Patho in the summer sounds horrible to you, do it anyway! Hope I see you in the Fall
