  1. Thanks! For some reason when I searched fb it kept telling me that the group didnt exist!
  2. I may be slow, but I'm not finding the Dallas group on FB. Can someone please PM me with it? thx!
  3. I work full time, yes. My undergrad is in Sociology, and I have an MBA, so I did have to take the prereqs at a community college. They were thorough, and tough, but I made sure to go at a decent pace so neither my grades nor my work suffered. I can't not work - I like my house and feeding my kids too much.
  4. From the website: The Dallas Center will offer a six-semester full-time program for people holding a bachelors or master's degree in other fields who want to become registered nurses (RNs). The program plan leading to a baccalaureate degree in nursing has been modified for individuals who have previously earned a bachelors or a higher degree. I have a BA and an MBA, and I work full time, so this program is perfect for me. Which is why it is the only one I applied for. Good luck to all of the traditional program applicants - even though I know I'm already in, I've been watching and waiting to see how you guys did!
  5. The TRE stops probably just a couple of blocks from TWU in Dallas. I used to work at UTSW, and could see TWU from the train when it left the station.
  6. And you could study on the rail.
  7. Not a single mom, but I have two kids of my own (2 and almost 5) and a stepchild (just turned 18).
  8. I'll be at the Dallas campus (evening/weekend program). From work, its about 10-15 minutes. From home on the weekends, it will be about 30 minutes. No problem. I'll just be commuting to Dallas 7 days a week instead of 5.
  9. I want to know too - weekend or traditional? I'm weekend, and I'm trying to band us together before hand so that we can support each other!
  10. Thanks - I'm excited, scared and really, really ready for this to happen.
  11. I can only assume that the selection process is the same as the regular program. My stats are back on this thread, but here you go: I have a 3.9 GPA in my prereqs, 4/4 A's and a 94 on the TEAS V. I also have a previous bachelors degree and an MBA.
  12. No - it was Feb 1 like everyone else. I turned in everything on Jan 3, and I was emailing them back and forth last fall to be sure that my non-science prereqs were right, so they didn't have to vet anything with me during the actual application review period. I'm guessing that made it easy to process.
  13. I'm IN! For the Weekend/Evening program at Dallas! Let the madness begin!
  14. Thanks for sharing your blog - definitely looking forward to reading more!
  15. I've applied to the Dallas Campus, but the Evening/Weekend program. I will be working 5 days a week at my full time job as I'm the breadwinner in my family, but that's why I want the evening/weekend program. My stats are earlier in the thread, but I have a 3.9, all first attempt As and got a 94 on the TEAS. Even still, nothing is set in stone until we receive those letters. And MAN, I'm already on pins and needles. Waiting until the end of March?!?! I've been checking my email every day already! If I didn't have all of my daughter's charter school apps to stalk too, I think I'd go crazy!
