Hi! I didn't see a thread for Spring of 2016 applicants, so I created one.
My stats are
3.71 GPA (finishing up micro right now so that could change)
Take the TEAS on August 8th
No preferences
I am pretty sure the TEAS test will make or break me.
Good Luck to all!
Hey, I just got the email that I'm accepted!!! I think the long wait made it even sweeter. I'm currently taking Patho in Dallas, too, btw. It's feeling impossible to get an A so far but I'm still determined.
Stats:
GPA 3.8
TEAS 96.7%
Previous Bachelor's
TWU Bump
Congrats to everyone who has the joy of getting this email today!

How is patho?
Unfortunately I am not in that class right now so I will begin it in Janurary. Does anyone know how difficult it is to take patho with other nursing courses?
Also, do you know if any of the nursing classes can be taken during the summer to lighten the work load during the fall and spring semesters?
I'm taking patho with some full-time nursing students and they say its very hard to juggle all the courses. But if you don't work or anything you should be able to handle it. One of the nursing students that I know had to drop the nursing courses and just continue with patho and pharm. He said he now is considered a "part-time" student and will take those nursing courses in the spring with us. He works!! that is the problem I think. You really can't work. From what I've been told by advisors and other students is that summer courses are strictly for the non-traditional weekend program students. I looked into it because I really like taking summer courses. We are told that out of all the 1st semester courses, patho and assessment are the most difficult. The other two aren't so bad. Pharm is weird...each lecture you are covering 5-7 chapters...in one lecture! But they say that you don't have to read everything in pharm, just focus on what is in notes and covered in lecture. Patho is my only course this semester and I'm studying a LOT but it is doable. It's like A&P III. You learn the systems all over again but in more detail and added focus on disease. I would study your old A&P book now to refresh you...start with neuro and move onto reproductive and then cardio. If you cover those three sections then you have a head start with the first three tests of the course.
