  1. Wow. I just found out two days ago that I got in. I was so set on going to Collin too b/c I thought I didn't get in. They said it just means that I didn't get in the first round. GPA: 4.0 Teas: 83% No TWU bump, No previous bachelors
  2. Hi everyone, has anyone received anything from the Nursing department yet? I've been checking my emails and I haven't really gotten any emails about the background check yet. Just making sure I'm not the only one..
  3. I had 30 points (3 repeats - stats, micro and a&p2), 6 on the PSB. No honors classes I'm very excited to meet all of you on Nov 6!
  4. I still haven't heard from TWU but I calculated the tuition fees I'll be paying if ever I even go there (5K per semester!)... I don't have that much money haha. I still want to attain my BSN so I'll just do the RN-BSN route from Collin College to Texas Tech :) I figured it'll be fine if I don't hear from them at all. I'm finally at peace with this decision. I will drop off my acceptance letter tomorrow. Thanks for sharing that info! I was also wondering where we would need to get fingerprinting/BG checks done. I thought we were only supposed to do that on our own. Do you know if our immunization documents are due this week as well?
  5. @luxyblue: wow your TEAS scores are pretty high! Do we really get an email first before the physical mail? I've been checking both my email & mailbox like crazy these past few days..
  6. Wow that is a lot! Not sure on what the stats are for Dallas. I really hope they send letters next week. I got into Collin community college and their deadline for a response is Oct 16 (next friday). it'll be nice to hear from TWU before that date..
  7. The waitlist is great news!! congrats mylife7! And to everyone else who got in this semester! I hope to meet all of you. I'll also let you know once I hear from TWU! :) i dont think it matters anymore lol im just to happy for this and for everyone else. :)
  8. Congrats guys!!! Im also waiting for TWU's letter, but im set on Collin bc it's affordable and closer. :)
  9. Yes dont get discouraged yet! :) It was a pain having to retake a&p2 and micro just to get an A (i got an 88 and 89 but thats still a B for them) but now I realize it's all worth it.
  10. Thank u so much mylife7!! Praise the Lord indeed!! Im praying for u as well! Itll be awesome to start the program with you!! The letter came in with a few more info like a letter of accepting the admission, a list of vaccines i need to get done, and scholarship info too! i applied three times and i finally got into this school. Never give up no matter what! God has perfect timing
  11. Guys i just got mine!!! Praise the lord!!! Im so happy. But ill still wait on twu just in case!
  12. I emailed the counselor & she said they hope to have letters sent out by early next week.
  13. I'm so nervous!! But at the same time I also want to know the results hehe. I haven't gotten anything from TWU either. I'll probably get the Collin letter tomorrow too.
  14. @mylife7: That's great!! It's a big news for your family, too! My biggest supporter is my older sister, who was able to get her ADN at collin and eventually graduated BSN at Texas Tech. She's now an ICU nurse in Baylor Dallas. I've also been checking TWU lately. I've been checking my email every chance I get lol. TWU really is my dream school. They announced that letters will be out by next week too. Honestly I would really love to go to TWU, since it's only 5 minutes away from Baylor Dallas. This means my sister and I can just drive around that area together (as of now we can't afford to get a separate apartment from our parents). And the fact that I can get BSN in two years is also a plus. I'd choose Collin only for financial reasons, and it's closer home. But we'll see..whatever God has for me I will go with that! (: I know eventually everything will work out.. @msqtsmith: Amen, I'm the same as well! I hope all of us get the acceptance!
  15. thank you for the encouragement mylife7! Amen to everything you said. Never give up on the things you desire. God knows every single one of them, and though the road may not be easy, keep pressing on anyway! I was heartbroken when I first received my first rejection letter. But later on I learned how to wait on God. I was only 18 when I applied the first time, and I knew I'd go crazy and quit if God had let me get into nursing school that time. It's all in the timing! :) No matter how long..
