Iv actually really begun to enjoy anatomy. I feel like i studied reletivly well for my first exam and got a 42 i had done the 15 point extra credit so i didnt freak out too much knowing id try harder on my next exam. Exam two was so diff then what i studied for i know i didnt do well. Feeling soooooo discouraged. All i want in life is to be a labor and delivery nurse! I emailed my teacher and we are going to go over my study skills and what i can do to be more prepared. I guess i just needed to vent. I can still pass and pull this into a good grade if i really apply myself. and i will. Any pointers? thanks!

This is the Website that goes along with my text book. it is extremely helpful to me, you don't need to register just click on resources and find the info you need to study. there are labeling excercises and quizes and videos etc.

was it a multiple choice exam? put the eraser aside... if you studied, your gut answer is usually right.

Instead of studying just for certain topics that your instructor may have highlighted, you really need to study and prepare to be tested on ALL of the material covered in your book, notes, lab. It's easier to keep up with it if you study as you go rather than waiting until the week before an exam (like I just did).

It was actually a great idea to let your professor in on any frustrations/obstacles you might be experiencing. Hopefully he or she will have some good pointers to steer you in the right direction while studying. A&P has soooo much info, and sometimes it is difficult to know what you will be tested on, but you will find a method to the madness.
I went through this last semester with Micro, but I got used to my professor's methods after the 2nd test, and I knew if he stressed anything or wrote something on the board during lecture, I needed to read more about that particular concept on my own...because it would be on the test. 99.9% of the time, it was. So, hang in there...and just pay attention to the material covered and use any online resources or test questions in the book that may help out as well. :)

What are the tests like? What areas are you struggling with?

If your school has an anatomy or a science lab, make a point of going in regularly to play with the models... don't just look at them, take them apart and put them back together multiple times as you work on remembering what terms go to which parts. This is especially important if your professor uses the models for the tests.
The coloring books were useful for me, I saw much more clearly when I was guiding the end of the pencil than when I was just looking at the picture. Coloring in several books was better than just one because they emphasised different things.
I would have said go talk about your tests with your professor, especially looking for patterns in what you did well in and what you missed... except you already said that. )
Thanks everyone! I actually think i am gonna try the coloring books! Our tests are fill in so they are more difficult im really putting my all into my next test. FINGERS CROSSED
