ICAN!

I'm sitting here anxiously awaiting to hear from TVCC to see if I was accepted into the nursing program. So for those of you already in the program how did you handle the seemingly looonnng wait from Jan 31st to the middle of March? It's driving me crazy! Is there anyone else out there waiting to hear from TVCC?
This site is wonderful! I can hardly stop reading allnurses.com (have to force myself to get up and do something else).
Thanks,
No one goes to TVCC? Bump!

Hi ICAN...I applied for this semester at TVCC also. I am just waiting as well. It seems like forever! So if you don't mind me asking, how many points did you have? I wish they would hurry up and send out letters. Well keep me posted if you hear anything.

i also applied to TVCC seeing how very close it is, but i also applied to TWU, Baylor, SFA and Midwestern, so im anxiously awaiting just like you are. the lady at baylor said they met on the 27th and the letter will be there my the 2nd week of march. im about to go crazy waiting for any letter. how many points did you all have?
I applied to TVCC with 10 pts. and hope that is enough to get in.
i think i had 10 too. but it could have been 9. i think that is plenty. 10. because ive heard that the last semester cut offs were around as low as 8!!!. so dont give up. when do you think we will hear back.
Counselor said the middle of March.
oh ok. that is what i figured. i know baylor met on the 27th and they said the middle of march. so hopefully next week!!! im sooooo anxious and ready just to find out where i got accepted. is this the only school you applied to.
Yes, it is the only school I applied to. I figure if I don't get in this year I will continue to take prerequisite classes towards the BSN. Hopefully 10 pts. with a 3.5 gpa will get me in this next Fall.
oh where you are right where i am too 10 points and a 3.5. you should be perfectly fine though. i have all my classes for the bsn i just applied to tvcc because its close and in case i didnt get in to any of the bsn programs i applied too. do you know where you wanna get your bachelors from
TVCC has a distance education program with UT Arlington so that's where I would get the BSN from.
yeah i knew that. that is great! how exactly does that work. you would get your adn from tvcc and as long as you had the other support courses for the BSN you would automatically be able to bridge through UTA or is it still a competitive program.
