Hello all, so I took my nclex this morning. It turned off at 75. I am terrified I failed!!! I had so many sata and priority so they could me I did well but I could have gotten everyone wrong and bombed!!
And and there is no longer a PVT to try.
So who has passed with 75? Is it common to bomb so bad it shuts off at 75? Because I feel like I did! But everyone says it's not common. I did Kaplan and got 60-70 on every single test and still feel like I know nothing. Ati said I had 91% chance at passing.

Ok. Step one: Breathe and calm down :) If you want to play the PVT game, there are lots of threads to read on that, but I don't recommend it for you at this point.
Step Two: consider that first-time test-takers pass the NCLEX-RN about 91% of the time. Odds are greatly in your favor because of that.
Step Three: Stopping at the minimum number of questions means either you did very well, and the computer determined competency quickly, or you failed miserably, and the computer deemed you incompetent no matter HOW many questions it would give you (you could not pass at that point). Now consider your academic hx, your studying habits, how well you were doing on the test prep and practice exams. Is it *MORE* likely you passed, or failed miserably?
As an fyi, just about everyone who takes this stupid exam feels they have failed. It's a rare bird who walks out confidently, sure they passed! And yet most do.... :)

Everyone that freaks out that they failed usually passes lol! Aldo you got a lot of SATA shows that youre at a high level, which is good. But not to get your hopes up, expect the worse but hope for the best! Keep us updated!
Hey, just passing on a bit of info that might be helpful for the next person.....SATA is only a format type, not an indication of level of difficulty. Getting a lot of SATA questions does not indicate higher level questioning; it means nothing. SATA questions that are below passing standard still result in a below-pass scoring.
And everyone hates SATA, no matter how hard or easy! :)

Thanks! That helps a little!! lol I just keep thinking of each question and think I got it wrong. But I had so many priority questions. Which is a good sign I think but thats just an endless circle of guessing and I dont think I really want to play the pvt game. That is too much of a chance because it will probably say I failed even if I passed and just freak me out more!
Does your State participate in Quick Results? It's eight bucks and it's an official 'pass' or 'fail'. If not....do anything you can think of to take your mind off all this crud for awhile. Actually, find something to do for the next 40+ hours if you ARE planning to do QR.....me, I find cleaning therapeutic, and I scrubbed my kitchen until it SHINED. Cabinets haven't been that organized since I passed the NCLEX, lol.....
