Several of my coworkers worked in my critical care unit part time while they were in NP programs. They were eligible to utilize their tuition benefits towards the NP courses just like anyone is.
Of course, the tuition reimbursement benefit doesn't come close to covering the full cost of the course...it is just a percentage with a cap. And generally it must be paid back if the nurse quits the facility within the next year or so...so I wonder how valuable their tuition 'assistance' really is for many folks.
I guess every little bit helps while one is in college. But its everybody's personal decision whether they want to feel beholden to a facility or not.
There are probably some rural communities that would pay a NP's tuition IF they would agree to practice in their community ...I know this has been done for doctors.

My hospital offers tuition reimbursement up to $2500 (not much I admit) a year for pre-approved classes related to your job or to enter another healthcare profession. We also have a nursing scholarship program for employees and children of employees. And we don't hire NP's.

I'm in an accelerated ADN to MSN and my hospital pays $3500/year for tuition reimbursement and then $5600/year for loan repayment. Not too bad.

my place gives scholarships to a few RN students yearly. & they also have a reimbursement for cont ed. up to $400/year for classes. Not too much more, but we have a great cont ed team inhouse that is very busy doing classes.

Most? No.
The VA often has programs for this kind of upgrade, for its current employees. Check with your local VAMC and see what they have to say.

our tuition reimbursement can be used for any degree - BA/BS/BSN, MA/MS/MSN, NP, PhD
either way, its 100% up to 16 credits/yr or $10,000 per year.
Not out of the goodness of their hearts and they didnt give it over happily either. We had to fight to get that into our union contract many years ago.
I spoke to a CRNP here who tells me our state is so desperate for CRNP's that she got a grant/scholarship to pay for most of her. I know a couple of gals who did this. Thank goodness for them!
