TriStar Nurse Residency Summer 2020

Hello all!

Just wanted to create this little blog to see who else was going to be interviewing at Tristar for their New Grad Nurse Residency program for Summer 2020. I have interviews on Feb. 27th and 28th at Centennial and StoneCrest, respectively. I am pretty excited, but also nervous. I have never participated in a group interview process before.

Does anyone know how long it takes the TN board of nursing to issue an authorization to test after receiving your transcripts??

Just got an offer from TriStar Centennial. I interviewed Thursday last week.

Yes I did on Friday. It was a group interview of 4 of us. Very low stress, super friendly staff. Three person panel, two med/surg managers and the ICU manager. There was an opportunity to shadow for a little while on units of interest. That being said, I know this hospital was impacted heavily with the tornadoes, so I'm not sure what impact that will have on hiring right now.

Got an offer at Summit SICU last night, which was odd on a Sunday at like 9pm. But I've decided to turn down my offer at Centennial ED and Summit SICU and go with another area offer in the ED that I received. I'll be looking to move from California to East Nashville area late June/early July. If anyone is moving to the area and going to be looking for a roommate, please shoot a message, would be nice to room with another nurse resident!

Congratulations! That is awesome! How did they contact you with the offer for SICU? Email or phone call?

Email. Both offers from TriStar were emails. Never heard back from skyline either yes or no which is weird because they said I’d hear back Friday or at latest Monday when I interviewed on a Thursday. That was almost two weeks ago. Whatever their loss.

Just had my interviews at Skyline and Centennial yesterday and was extended an offer at both! Everyone was so nice at both facilities, it was really nice to talk one-on-one at centennial with the nurses! Anyone else interview yesterday?

Hey I did too! interviewed yesterday at both and was extended an offer at both. I was offered 12 Tower (med surg) at Centennial and neuro ICU at Skyline. I'm so excited!

What units did they offer to you? CONGRATS!
