Hello all!
Just wanted to create this little blog to see who else was going to be interviewing at Tristar for their New Grad Nurse Residency program for Summer 2020. I have interviews on Feb. 27th and 28th at Centennial and StoneCrest, respectively. I am pretty excited, but also nervous. I have never participated in a group interview process before.

I got offered an interview at all the locations as well but I declined the Skyline offer since it was just ortho/neuro and ER. I don't think I want those floors, and they only had Tuesday interviews which would mean two separate 7 hour drives for me haha. I am super excited though about about the interviews, I have heard good things about these hospitals:)
How did you find out the floors for Skyline? I asked Vanessa Moeller but wasn't told what floors the interviews were for. I'm okay with ER though.
Does anyone know about bringing a passport photo signed by your nursing director to the interview? I thought I read about this somewhere during the application process, but I could be getting it mixed up with Vanderbilt also. I can't seem to find an email or anything that says that for either hospital.
@EDboundSN Hmm I am not sure about that for either Vandy or tristar, but I had my Tristar interview yesterday at centennial and they did not ask for it. There were about 25 people there. First You listen to the acno and then they separate you into 3 groups, one to tour, one for peer interview, and one for leader interview.

I do not remember reading anything about a passport photo for TriStar or Vanderbilt.

I swear I remember reading it on an email or website and I thought it was weird and then never heard about it again. Then a week or so ago I was reviewing a thread on here about a prior cohort and they mentioned it as well. I looked back and found a post in the 2018 Summer cohort thread where one user said,
"I am in the process right now! One thing I found odd was having my director of the RN program, as well as myself, sign my passport photo. They are so tiny! She signed the back of it. How did you go about doing that?"
Maybe they aren't doing that anymore now.

Hmm... I am not sure why they would need a signed passport photo. That seems like an odd request. haha
