Tri-City Medical Center New Grad Program (Posted Oct 2021)

Published

Hi! Creating this thread for those who’ve applied to the Tri-City Medical Center New Grad Program (posted Oct).

I’m not sure if L&D and mother/baby are the only units so far, but that’s what I’ve applied for personally! I heard this is the first new grad cycle they’ve accepted in almost 10+ years for these units. Anyone internal and have more info or external and have heard anything from others?

Hi! Was wondering if anyone had interviewed for the new grad position and could share some insight into the types of questions they ask ?

thanks ?

Has anyone heard back from the stroke unit or orthopedics new grad?

Yes, I just did my interview yesterday for both mother baby and L&D. Seems like they did most of the interviews this past Monday and Thursday. Crossing my fingers I hear back.

Has anyone else heard back for those units?

My interview was a super laid back phone interview. It was only 3 or 4 formal questions and the rest was more of a conversation with Katie who is the clinical educator for the unit.

Some of the questions included. Why Tri-city? Why this unit? What are some challenges you have faced as a nursing student/ new grad and what have you done to overcome those challenges?

Interviewed today for mother baby, they mentioned having more interviews but hopefully a decision this week

How did it go if you don't mind me asking?

Did they mention they will decide this week? Crossing my fingers we hear back by Friday.

I interviewed today as well, and they told me it's up to HR when they contact accepted candidates, she said hopefully by the end of this week but maybe the end of next week.

Good luck to you guys!

I wonder how many people they are hiring. Seems like they are interviewing quite a bit.

I interviewed on the 19th on a FaceTime call. Very informal, It was like 8 clinical questions then a few behavioral questions. They said they would be letting me know the week after but I haven’t heard anything LOL

What floor did you interview for?

Wondering if anyone has heard anything back yet?
