Let's see what everyone is doing here. I'll start...

Palm Springs 36/hour average rate. Any other takes willing to post and brag!:lol2: :lol2: :lol2: :lol2:

Well, I'll post with uncertainty.

I'm looking at being a travel nurse in NYC and they're offering $25-$28 an hour. I thought this was kind of low (esp. for a travel nurse...) and someone was kind enough to confirm that for me here. It's hard to find answers, though!

Anyway, I'm glad you're making a good rate!

I was offered $40/hr from Fastaff for LA 3 different hospitals. I am fortunate because I found that same payrate here in Fl. Actually it is $40.50/hr. It's a local agency contract and the hospital wants me to extend. This is going to be a lucrative new year from what I can see.

I was offered $57/hour as an agency nurse in Chicago...not travel but close.

what part of Florida? I'm looking at relocating to the Tampa area - Tampa General is a level one, wonder if they hire local travel nurses? Last I read, they hire at top rate.... about $50/hour - for Florida, that's not too shabby.

$37/hr and 2K/month tax free housing stipend in Ventura, CA. That's a total of about $50/hr.

forgive me, but agency or travel - what's the differene? Traveling nurses are WITH agencies, no? I'd like to know the difference so when I move I can make an informed decision on my options, locally, for work. Thanks!

I'm at 35/hr where I'm at now, and let me say that I'm looking at my next assignment options in other places and am disappointed...even large metro areas aren't paying even 30/hr. Maybe it's the company I'm with, which surprised me as its one of the larger, older ones. Go figure.

Is that as a CRNA?

I have an offer for 23.00/hr for a facility claiming I will be doing vaccinations and blood draws and only 400.00 round trip travel for 1300 mile drive. Am I getting taken? Im also an LVN first time traveler....:stone

That was as an RN, but per diem agency and not travel contract.
