travel nursing canada

Published

Hey guys, i have recently been recruited by a company out of BC called Solutions Staffing inc. I was not aware of travel nursing in canada until a friend referred me to this company. Has anyone dealt with them or heard of them at all? I can't find much about them other then their website. Thanks for any of you who can help

Just be prepared for all kinds of things! As I said, be open minded and don't expect the experience to be smooth sailing. They contracted you there because they are in need, which can unfortunately mean, a chaotic unit! If you are adaptable, and have great clinical skills, you will do fine!

Oh im in no way expecting a ride in the park ahah. Things must be a little wild if they can't staff a small unit like that. Shoudl be interesting and im looking forward to it. I like a challenge

Abbotsford-anything from farm accidents to drug deals gone wrong.

I have never heard that holding a license in more than one provinces was a problem. I am licensed in Ontario and NWT and have never had any problems.

Registration is expensive in many provinces as the licensing body is also your professional association so you are essentially paying for your license and your professional association dues. In Ontario your registration costs $125 a year but the professional association is seperate here so the cost is lower.

I you are going to work for an travel nurse agency negotiate for them to reimburse you for your license fees.

I work for Solutions Staffing. I've had awesome assignments and experiences:smokin:

I'm looking to be hired with an Alberta Travel Company. Do you know the name of it? I too work for Solutions but they don't service Alberta.

What is the name of the Calgary company?

Send me a PM and I'll give you all the information on the new company

natalyia could you send me a PM regarding the Calgary company. (I'm unable to PM yet due to be a new member I assume)

I'm currently looking for travel/contract work in other areas of Canada (I currently live and work in Newfoundland and Labrador). I also heard of Venture Healthcare but their website is low on details and a few years out of date.

Thank You.

Some more info on Solutions Services from any members would be nice as well.

Thanks again.
