trasfering license from Florida to Washington

Hi,

I really don't know were else to go to find some information on this topic because I went on the internet from left to right, up and down and I couldn't find anything yet.

Me and my husband are moving from Florida to Washington. I am a nurse here and I love very much what I am doing therefore I want to transfer my license from here to Washington so that I can practice there too.

Can you tell me where do I need to go or what website should I access to get the information I need?

this is the answer i have just received from a website i wrote to. in case someone might use it sometime .....

i will give you the phone number to the nursing commissision in olympia for the info you need. (360) 236-4700. their website is

You can access all the US state BONs from this site -- go to the yellow "Resources" tab in the upper right corner of the screen, click on that, and you will see "Boards of Nursing" on the drop-down menu. Click on "Boards of Nursing," and that will take you to a list (with links) of all the state BONs, listed alphabetically.

Use that link to go to the WA state BON website, and look for instructions for how to apply for "licensure by endorsement" (that's the mechanism for people who already have a license in another state). You should find all the information, instructions, and application forms there that you need.

(Oooh, just thought -- do you mean you're moving to Washington state or Washington, DC? If it's DC, you do the same thing but look on the list for the District of Columbia BON.)
