Just looking for an outlet to vent. I've been an RN for a long time. I got into the PNAP program and completed it. I've been working ever since so it is possible. Recently I applied for a new job and decided to get the misdemeanor expunged. It seems like I've opened a pandora's box; for two decades, the report read M for a misdemeanor, now it reads F; hence I can't find a job! How did this happen? I'm in limbo now. No job will be graduating soon with my BSN. This can only happen to me; what can I do now??

I’m confused what the F means?

Well if the F stands for Felony and it's a misdemeanor charge that is now being erroneously reported as a felony, I would get a lawyer to have this fixed.
I don't mean to "woah is me" here, but your situation sounds like a literal walk in the park compared to mine so please don't think this is insurmountable by any stretch, especially if you don't even have a felony which is what is being reported (hence a reporting/clerical issue that can be rectified).

I don't know how to address your specific problem but I do know that sucker-punched feeling when you think it's all behind you and is not even on BON web sight and someone remembers you so you don't get the job!
Sucks to be sure but I have learned that forces beyond my control (The so called Powers That Be) have been pushing and pulling me in some very strange directions.

I would get a lawyer to dig deeper. I had a felony charge that was reduced to a misdemeanor after one year of drug court. Good luck
