Can anyone tell me if saunders covers material related to the transition of the RN role? Thank you in advance!!

Hi I'm currently studying for this exam also and the NCLEX does not has any info related to it. I did buy the optional LPN to RN transition book EC recommended and it's been real helpful.

I used SG101 for this exam and passed. SG101 was pretty spot on with their info. Lots of boring stuff on this exam. All memorization :-P

LPN to RN Transition book. Is that the title? Can I purchase at a local book store?

Thanks!

Hi beachnurse84, did you use the flashcards on SG101 for transitions?

Specializes in (Aspiring) FNP, LNP.

There are a couple chapters in the Saunders that may help with this exam. Chptr 7 & 8 - is on legal, ethical issues, leadership and delegating. Take a look!

No, just the notes. This was my very first ECE and it was my only C. I didn't really know HOW to study for my exams yet when I took this one.... and I personally thought it was a decently tough exam... but I think partly bc the material is so boring I needed toothpicks in my eye lids to study. :-)

I would say if you're looking for flashcards, check out http://www.flashcardexchange.com and search for Excelsior Transitions or Excelsior NC7. You should find some good card sets there :-)

Hahaha....couldn't agree with you more.....I think everyone should use Transitions as a sedative before taking their CPNE!

Try studygroup101.com for the Transition study guide, much cheaper than the book and so far it is covering everything in the content guide outline. :o
