Hello,
I was wondering if anyone knows of any nursing school in St. Louis that will actually accept and transfer nursing classes from one nursing school to the next??? I need to transfer schools and am halfway through my nursing program. Any info would be great. Thanks~!!

I think Chamberlain will. Just give the schools a call - STLCC, Barnes Jewish, SLU, UMSL, Maryville, etc.

My recommendation is to contact schools that you will be interested in attending in St. Louis. General education classes are usually transferred between accredited schools with no problem, but actual nursing courses may be a bit different. It probably also depends on what type of program you are in now (ADN, BSN, diploma).
There are many nursing programs in St. Louis, and my bet is that at least one of them will let you transfer your nursing courses. Good luck!

I'm at SLCC/Forest Park. This semester we added about 10 students who transferred in from other programs.(I'm in 2nd semester of the ADN program). So you can do it, as to what credit they got for prior learning check with the nursing department head. Good Luck!

I talked to a student last semester who had transferred in to the 3rd semester of Meramec's (http://www.stlcc.edu/nursing/) from another program's LPN program.
I agree that you need to contact the schools you are interested in. They will evaluate your transcripts based on their standards.
Good luck!!
