TPAPN and Peth test

I know TPAPN can use the Peth test but does anyone have first hand knowledge of them actually using it?

I'm almost done... about a month left in my contract. Whoo hoo I have a large purchase I am wanting to make and I'm wondering if I should go ahead or just wait.

Thanks!

Three times... wow! My biggest question is, How much did it cost you?

@RevelationDark PEth is a blood test for alcohol use. They say it can detect certain levels of alcohol ingestion up to 3 weeks later. If you’re positive—> you’re positive! BAM! Usually difficult to fight.

Per the USDTL website: A positive PEth result means that the donor has consumed ethanol sometime during the last 2-4 weeks (approximately).

I only had one. Alcohol wasn’t my doc. Mine was $130. I’ve seen comments on here of prices ranging from $120-$200.

Mine added them when I was about 70% through the sentence. Reason given (quoting their words) : “you. MAy notice and increase in toxicology testing as this is a valuable tool for your recovery.” Ummmm...okay. Cue eye roll. This was apparently rolled out across the population regardless of why you were there. Me? I was mental health, barely went near the stuff before this and am still not impressed by it. Never had a missed check in or a dilute or anything, yet I started having to shell out $109 extra, about every other month or so for this blood test. This was in addition to the usual expenses of around $160-200.

Still not sure what I was ‘in recovery’ from that warranted this or exactly who This ‘tool’ was valuable for. Wasn’t me, that’s for sure.

If one has cause for increased scrutiny...multiple dilutes, missed check ins, positives for whatever, sure I can understand the increased testing but just because they can? No, not right, sorry not sorry.

Donate packed double red blood cells u will pass the test. A friend drank heavily on a Friday had PeTh test Monday. He went to donate double red's first and passed the Peth test.

Or you could just not drink......

these jerks do enough to torture people without being given cause to. I get that we are human and people make mistakes, relapse etc. Those that have, for whatever reason, have enough to deal with. Those of us that fought our way through this gauntlet and those that are still in the clutches of what is frequently a massive scam operation that seems to exist for no other reason than to make money, do not need to be giving them any ‘anecdotal evidence’ to justify their pathetic excuses to make this any harder on thier victims than they already do.

The majority of people just try to make it through the best they can, and adhere to the contract no matter how stupid Or inappropriate the stipulations may be. Not to sound cold but if you are scrambling for ways to intentionally do things that are verboten and you get caught (and you will) then you deserve what hell they rain down on you.

Can anyone talk to peth and hand sanitizer? The warnings are freaking me out (and I don't have the option to avoid it in my current job).

If I don't ingest alcohol but use hand sanitizer very frequently at work, will I be able to pass the tests?

Real talk / true life experiences please (AND THANK YOU!)
