Towson University Spring 2015

U.S.A. Maryland

Who's applying? I'm so nervous!

The first orientation is between January 9th and the 15th. The second is right before classes start, like the 24th I think. That's what I remember from registering for it. There's also a family orientation during the first one for our curious family and friends.

I got an email the other day from the Clinical Placement Coordinator about completing the requirements because mid December we'd get our first clinical assignment information. We start clinicals 2 weeks into the first semester.

Finding out schedule info would be lovely right now so I can get a job in H-Town!

Where can I find information on orientation? I've perused the TU and University System of Maryland websites, and have turned up nothing. I also checked my Towson email address and haven't found anything. Thanks!

Hi all,I've been stalking this forum for months (since before I took my TEAS >.

I was accepted -Yayyyyy!-and I'm currently looking for an apartment in Hagerstown. I'd,ideally, want to stay wherever I choose for the two years I'm in Towson's program.

I'm 21, pretty laid back, and a bit of a nerd. I don't watch TV - so I could care less about cable - but I'd find wifi/hi speed internet to be a must.

(I don't smoke or drink and I have no problems with pets if you have them.)

Anyyyyways, if you're interested or know anyone who would be interested in finding a place, please get in touch.

Thanks!

Amber

Anyone get class schedule info yet? How can a girl apply for jobs without knowing when she's available?!? Lol

Okay so I just received an email saying that TU sent me the wrong orientation registration link last month. So they canceled whatever they had me accidentally sign up for and they said that the nursing department orientation is actually January 22nd. We should be getting info on that soon. Interesting...

I didn't get an email saying my orientation link was incorrect - I wonder if we'll all get told it's supposed to be on Jan 22ed.

When I originally registered, there were several options for part one of orientation and two options for part two. I was so super excited to get started (or at least to get some more info) that I'd registered for the earliest date.

I think it was Jan 9, 9am-5pm.

When I went back and looked at it again today after I saw your post, I didn't see any changes made yet.

Keep us updated! =D

I'm still hoping to get some kind of schedule sometime soon.

I litterally did the same thing you did aw9313- registered for the transfer orientation nursing major Jan 9th 9-5 for part 1 and registered for part 2. I even registered my parents for the family thing it said they were having. The email I got today said they canceled that registration because Brook Necker said I only need to go to the Nursing Department orientation on January 22nd. I just got off the phone with someone from the nursing department who verified that I only have to worry about orientation Jan 22nd at the TU main campus. She said they're also sending out packets around NEXT WEEK with schedule info, orientation info, and order forms for uniforms and other things we need to buy. Hope that helps anyone! ☺

Out of curiously, I was wondering when the people who are moving to an apartment/housing in Hagerstown are planning on doing so. I've been looking at different apartment complexes and places available on Zillow and Craigslist for what seems like ages. I was considering moving around the second week of Jan. I've had a couple girls contact me off of here, but one isn't 100% sure she'll be moving and the other I haven't heard back from other than our initial emails.

If anyone is still looking for a roommate, feel free to contact me whenever.

I will be moving to Hagestown if I don't get into Maryland. Hopefully I would hear back from them by Friday. In case I do not get in then I would start looking for room mates

Aw9313 please what are the price range for the apartments you have been looking at so far and how close is it from the school? The apartments that I've seen in Hagestown with two bedrooms are from $600 - $800 a month

I'd say $350-500 is about how much I want to pay a month (including utilities) for wherever I decide to stay. I'm fine having 1 or 2 roommates too if it means I'll stay within that price range.

Same here I would not want to pay more than $450 a month because I'm not sure if I would be working during the first semester. I want to stay within budget. Since I have not heard anything from Maryland yet, I am assuming I did not get in so I'm planning on just going to towson. If you have time, we can start looking for places together
