Who's applying? I'm so nervous!

@bsn-hope is that option only available for Hagerstown right now?

@bsn-hope is that option only available for Hagerstown right now?

Nope! I got an email on my new TU email saying that since I applied to TU early and paid my $300 in August I can register for the orientation before everyone between October 15th and the 21st. It said it would only be opened for that time for students who applied early like me then it would reopen for everyone else. Weeeeell I totally forgot and today I tried the link they sent me (even though I thought since it's the 23rd it wouldn't work. It worked! You just create an account, select Nursing major and it gives the appropriate dates. So everyone else should get the email soon.

Oh! Yeah I'd like to attend!

I also called admissions today to make sure they got my intent and deposit, because I noticed my deposit money has been sitting in my account for over a week and I sent it in two weeks ago. So yeah, if anyone notices their deposit hasn't been cashed in yet, admissions is waiting for more people to turn in their intent before they cash in the checks!!! But you can call to make sure they got it, though! I would!

I wish I was experiencing the "acceptance high!" I just finished my Nutrition class, with an A. Woo! But I'm bombing Trig. I took it in case I didn't get accepted, in order to pursue a Bio degree, but I did get accepted, so I don't even need this class (other than it keeps me from having to payy off student loans.) My dad paid for it, so I feel like I'm letting him down, as well as myself. I am an A student, so not doing well is stressing me out! Like to the point of panic attacks in my sleep! (when I actually DO sleep...) I am trying to focus on the positives, like getting into nursing school, already having a $1500 scholarship award, and that just about everything else in my life is going well. Is anyone else feeling super-stressed right now? I'm hyper-critical of myself. Is anyone else like that? What helps you to cope? Sorry, I know that it's not exactly relevant, but I know you all are the only ones who will understand!

Unfortunately I tend to procrastinate, so to keep this all from hitting me I've just been enjoying the good feels while pushing aside what makes me nervous. That's not a good thing because I'll end up freaking out when I wait until it's last minute to pay my $200 deposit (still have to do that) and then it'll become real and I'll have to search for a new job and a place to live and keep googling scholarships [congrats on yours, what a blessing! :)] and figure out how to do a student loan because this is all so new to me. The slippery slope of emotions as we get closer and closer to actually starting the program will get me. But your post actually gave me the push to reevaluate and handle buisness before I get to that point. It feels good to know we're not alone heading into this.

Patientsoul! Congrats on your acceptance! I would love to get in touch with you about being roommates! Let me know if you still are looking for a roommate! And maybe we can find a way to communicate via email

aalamo and Patientsoul, do you want me to ask my friend if she has any openings in her building? It's on Potomac Ave, towards the north end of town. It's just under 2 miles from campus (when I lived there, I often took an evening stroll from home to downtown.) She and her husband are awesome people! It's a cute old building. Hardwood floors, cozy in winter, lots of windows, front balcony and back porch. Laundry in basement They had 7 apts, some were 2br, some 2br w/den (we used it as 3rd br) and a studio. I think we paid around $700 (I think...it was 5 yrs ago) and I lived in 2 different apts (not at the same time!) Nice neighborhood too! People tend to stay there a while, so there may not be an opening, but I'll ask if you want.

Afowler it never hurts to ask!

As for scholarships, check out the Maryland Higher Education Comission (MHEC) website. That's how I got a scholarship.

Thanks for the info, afowler77! I know that the Johnson & Johnson website also provides info on scholarships too!

Hi everyone, I'm about to send in my deposit for the program at Hagerstown. I was wondering if there are people who are looking for roommates because I'll be your gal :)

That's me!!!! Ms.chima.
