Towson Nursing Spring 2016

Published

Hey is anyone else applying for Towson's Spring 2016 program? I take the TEAS V next week and hope to score at least an 85. My advisor said that it's a really competitive program and I should shoot for an 85 if I want to stand a chance at getting accepted. Ahh I'm freaking out a little!

I'm not sure what day the letter came exactly, but I know it arrived this week. I GOT IN!!! I screamed when I opened the letter!! Can't wait to see you all in the spring!

@mysterymachine , The clinical site varies. It depends on your clinical group but we had clinical sites in Hagerstown and Frederick. We had class on Mondays to Wednesdays and Clinicals on Thursdays. In regards to working, I would say it depends on the individual. Working can be challenging, especially when you have a test almost every week. I did not work but some students worked one or two days a week. It was though for them but its doable. I think that if you can go through the first semester without working, then definitely to that. However, if you absolutely have to, then its doable but quite challenging especially for the first semester.

I unfortunately will have to work full time while attending and I'm scared. I'm hoping I find a hospital or nursing home that allows me to do doubles on the weekend so that I don't have to work during the week.

@TashLen Congrats on your acceptance!! Working full time will probably be very stressful. But if you can put your mind to it, then I hope everything will go well for you :) Btw, you're currently at Towson main campus right? How's the campus? I actually never visited there yet, which I probably should very soon haha.

For those of you who have been accepted to the main campus, which would be a better option, living on or off campus? I live pretty far from Towson so I'll practically know nothing around that area. However, nursing is no joke so I'll know I need my time to study and that worries me when living on campus. I wouldn't want to share a room either since I like my own privacy. It's hard to look for people to room with too since I'll be new to the area :(

Sorry for the delay, but yes I attend Towson now. I just transferred in this semester, and I commute there everyday. But I only live about 15mins aways on a good day. Its a pretty nice campus, somewhat diverse student population, teachers are pretty understanding, and they have alot of services geared towards the students. I would definitely recommend that you come visit lol. And if you decide to live off campus there are apartments literally across the street from the school if you want to be close but still have your privacy/quietness.

@tflores They actually do apartment tours with the school also. So you could potentially meet your roommate then!

I got accepted to the hagerstown campus! does anyone on here go there already? how do you like the hagerstown campus?

@Taybaybee16 I was recently admitted into the nursing program at UMSON and have turn down my offer from Towson (Hagerstown). I hope this newly open slot goes to you, fingers are crossed!

Good Luck!!

I will also turn down my seat for the Baltimore campus since UMSON has accepted me. For all those who are wait listed there, there's a chance for you guys :D

Thank you @Rosie43 I have been taken off the wait list For hagerstown. I appreciate it! Class of 2017!!!

Did anyone order uniforms yet? How long did they take to come and how was the sizing?
