Towson Nursing Spring 2016

Hey is anyone else applying for Towson's Spring 2016 program? I take the TEAS V next week and hope to score at least an 85. My advisor said that it's a really competitive program and I should shoot for an 85 if I want to stand a chance at getting accepted. Ahh I'm freaking out a little!

Update. I took my TEAS and scored an 87! I felt like I was doing horrible during the entire test, and ran out of time during the math. However I was pleasantly surprised by my results. I hope thats good enough to get me in! The dreaded wait until October begins! Is anyone else applying for Spring 2016?

Hey! What are you using to study for the test? I used a variety of things, including a post from this site. First, I took the ATI practice test to see what I knew and to get an idea of what the test was like! Then I studied what I got wrong/didn't know from the focused review provided by ATI and this https://allnurses.com/teas-exam-help/how-i-passed-804222.html page. ATI also provides a focused review after you complete the actual exam, so you can use that if you don't want to buy the practice test. Additionally, I used the ATI exam guide, https://www.khanacademy.org/ (for the science section),https://www.youtube.com/user/crashcourse (also for the science portion), and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gk2kmNeGtwc. The last link is a teacher on Youtube who goes through each page of the math section of the ATI exam guide. The combination of all of these really did help me! If you only decide to check out one I definitely say Youtube, just type in whatever ATI says you need to focus on! Also don't study any one section to deeply when it comes to the science section, that was one of my regrets. I focused to much on anatomy & physiology when I should have just did a quick refresher.

Yayyy!! Good luck to you as well!! I hate that we have to wait until October to find out I'm gonna go crazy lol!!!

Hello! I also applied for the Towson Nursing Program, Spring 2016. I took my TEAS and scored an 86 so hopefully that'll be enough for me to get in. Good luck to everyone applying! Anyone here who is actually transferring to Towson University for the nursing program?

Thank you I will certain use these things as a guide to help me study . Unfortunately , I was only using two study apps on my phone and I had a Nursing entrance exam book I was using so it was a lot of variations I will definitely check out all the links and pages you mentioned . Thanks and good luck to you . I hope you get into Towson . I am going to try for fall 2016.

@TFlores Awesome score! Hopefully we'll be seeing everyone on this thread at orientation in the Spring. I transferred into Towson for the nursing program! This fall will me my first semester there.

@Murse27 No problem, hope you get in Fall 2016!

Guys have an easier time getting into the program. TU really pays attention to the TEAS especially the math and science portion.

Yeah, waiting until October is going to be rough! But hopefully it will be worth it! I am already praying that I get in!

Does anyone know if Towson takes volunteer hours into consideration when applying?
