Totally wrong?

I took the NCLEX today! I did it today because I felt ready to take it and being well prepared! I scored good on Kaplan and Saunders!

I had all 265 questions, all lot of meds, stuff I never heard of and was sure about 2 answers!

Can I be totally wrong that I was prepared? How can that happened?

I'm pretty sure I failed, all the signs are clear and I'm not surprise when I see the result on pearson Vue in 48 hours!

But how can I be so wrong abput my self?

I wasnt nervous that much, took some deep breaths and relaxed! I got more and more questions and my guts are telling me to take it again....!

Any hope for me? What else can I do?

still a victim of a waiting.. all i want to do is go in sane.. why .. ?? shish. i feel like looking for a job. im so ready but this test is dirivng me nuts.. give me advices or im going to end up shoppijng and i dont even have a job.. ;(

There is a sticky thread on top of the forum with suggestions of things to do while waiting for NCLEX results. You may want to read that. :)

Also, I'd like to chime in with the others that test takers are not selected at random, first or last tester of the day, etc to take all 265 questions. The computer only gives the amount of question it needs to determine if you meet the passing standard.

I hope that the waiting isn't too long for you. Take care of youself and think positive thoughts... and read the sticky above for more ideas. :)

Most people walk away from NCLEX saying "What was THAT???". I left in a stupor. The questions were nothing like what I have ever seen before in all of the practice questions. But, I passed NCLEX-PN at exactly 85. I was so shocked that all I could say is that if this is what the state boards of nursing considers a safe nurse, then God save us all; I knew nothing...

Like I just wrote to someone else: you get the number of questions you need to prove competency to that blessed computer. That occurs somewhere between the min and the max. You don't do any more questions than needed to prove yourself.

Yes! More than one and more than once! ;) I'll be sure to pass this on, though. When I took the NCLEX, it steadily got progressively harder: no med calcs, no simple questions. I thought I just got all of them. Oh well! Hey, I had 102* fever and took it 9 months after graduation (had a baby), so I guess I don't have to be too hard on myself!! ;) jk...
