Torrance Memorial new grad

Hello ? looking for more information and insight on the Torrance Memorial New Grad program. Those that have started or gone through this program, how has your experience been?

Can someone who has worked there or is still working there share their thought about this hospital please.

Any insight is truly appreciated. Thank you!

Hi there, 

I haven't heard back anything, nor any email. I think early February would be from the 1st-10th as Panda suggested. Have you had any signal from their end yet?

I haven't heard back either. I looked at my application status and it says closed so I was hoping to hear back soon.

I called yesterday and they said they were still finalizing applicants and that we should receive a call or email on Friday 2/3.

I hope so too! I hear good things about the new grad program at Torrance and it would be grand for us all to be part of it!

Thanks for the update! Do you know if we get to interview or receive offers from the departments that we didn't interviewed for? I am only asking because during my interview, they asked my alternate choices(up to 3) other than the unit that I was interviewing for.

It was part of the questions on the doc from the managers. I guess they were supposed to ask those. Anyone else had this experience? I am assuming they might forward us to other preferred departments if first priority department is not interested? which I hope this is the case so we get better chances of getting in.

I had a similar experience, I was informed if the departments we interviewed for do get full, they may suggest other units be part of since they do have our info if I understood them correctly.

I also gave them three units that I was interested in. The managers were all there for those units when I had interviewed but when I applied online, I only filled out one application.

I hope this is the case! Kinda want to work at med surg but I only got to interview with ICU
