  1. Hey, I haven't received any email yet from Torrance. I hope to hear something by the end of today. ?. I sent you a DM
  2. Honestly I am unsure about how the classes are divided up with time on the floor. I don't want to mislead anyone here.
  3. I'm unsure about it but I would think/believe the first 3 months when we are with our preceptors, we will have to follow their schedule and attend classes offered for the first year, I would think they are days we can't move around since it's set for groups of people. After those 3 months I am still unsure if we can still self schedule, I would guess yes because we will be on our own with management checking in on us and with scheduled classes.
  4. I've learned this from word of mouth going around. I would recommend reaching out to your unit manager about what's acceptable and not.
  5. For LCOM, we can wear anything appropriate, nothing too baggy or too tight, navy blue encouraged
  6. Hi Jfan, I did hear back from Torrance last week. I am sure they are processing as fast as they can since they are working with people who are accepting and declining offers. I do hope you hear back from them soon!
  7. I did reply to my email regarding my availability to receive a call. I haven't got a call so far from LCOM
  8. From what I remember it's between 41-42/ hour. You can check out the pay range on the job posting.
  9. I think it's important to consider if this is fellowship pay or residency pay, and location matters too. I can see where people might be feeling confused in many ways, as many factors determines pay, not necessarily location on its own
  10. I do hear many nurses do stay because it's a great place to work at, even with their current pay. Sometimes things aren't perfect but things do come close. ☺️ it would lead me to believe to get OT one must work a 4th shift
  11. Oh darn, it must be straight pay for the first year then and it adjust to time and a half after the first year?
  12. Hi there, To my understanding, I think the pay is increased after completing the residency program. I am unsure if we get paid time and a half after 8 hours during a 12 hour shift the first year or so. I haven't been able to confirm about OT. Would anyone know this?
  13. Thank you! ? unfortunately it was none of my first choices. I have say, I'm still grateful! ?
  14. Hi everyone, has anyone heard back from LCOM, Torrance, if they applied there? Congrats to everyone who has got in so far! This is a really exciting time ! ❤️
