Hi there!
So as a recent passer of NCLEX, looking for jobs have been a bit of a challenge in the past 1.5 months. But I finally got offered a job at DaVita as a dialysis nurse. I have also applied for the VA and my application is still in review. However, Ive realized that I really would like to get into the VA rather than dialysis. My question is, should I take the dialysis job (knowing well about some of the horror stories) that starts in August? Or should I wait out what VA has to say (in which they are known to take their time in making theit decisions, forcing me to take the dialysis job)?
Thank you for your opinion!

Only 1.5 months to find a job? Do you mind me asking where you live?

VA takes a long time. Get what you can in the interim.
Las Vegas, NV
Just applying and taking interviews everywhere.
Yea, that's what my friends said. I hope my experience at DaVita could be a stepping stone to a job I really want...

Hey, I am in Las Vegas as well and just had my first interview for Davita for the September start. I'm supposed to hear from the lady that actually makes the job offers by Friday...she wanted to squeak people in for the August start but that would leave me no time to give notice at my current job. I hope I get the job...the first interview on the phone seemed to go well but some of the questions were hard to come up with examples for.
