Top of pay scale Cleveland Clinic

Published

I am a new grad who just started at at Cleveland clinic hospital. I am curious what the top of the pay scale is, i started at 23 an hour, which is what everyone starts at.

I would like to hear from RN's who never got their BSN, and what they make. I have always heard there is a "cap" and nurses don't continue to make more and more money with experience.

Thanks!

I was told Lpn's were making that wage.. but I'm speaking out of ignorance here.. I honestly don't even know if ccf uses Lpn's..just hear say.. I've also heard rn's making 40-something an hour.. again, hear say, guess not that helpful since you're asking for factual information....

Anyone know the answer to the original poster's question about the top of the payscale? Maybe for 15 year's experience? Doesn't seem like most places pay a lot more after 15-18 years or so.

I'm a brand new LPN at ccf and I started at $17.50/hr. I will be getting my ADN and was told that it'll be around $24/hr. I wonder if that sounds right.

i have my clinicals at CCF main campus and we had a nursing recruiter come talk to us the other day. she said the starting pay is $24 an hour plus $.60 for ICU and $1 shift differential. i am interested to know why this seems to go along with what others are making but someone was offered $25.75, unless things have gone down since last summer...

I graduated in 07' w/ ADN and three people I went to school with were hired to med/surg at CCF main campus at $25.00/hour, looks like their pay HAS gone down!

I know a few RN's...My aunt for instance, is right at the point of retirement...she's been an RN for nearly 40 years (She loves her job and she said they will have to force her to retire) and she makes nearly 60$ an hour working in a geriatric ward in Massillon, Ohio...i don't know if its experience or what...but she doesn't have a BSN or MSN...simply an RN...so that seems like a "top of the pay scale" to me...

I also have a few friends in Kentucky and in Cincinatti, Ohio who make in the 30$-40$ per hour Starting out!

I also have 2 friends who started working right out of college in my area (portsmouth, ohio) who started out making 30$ an hour (i think it was like 32.50$ an hour specifically..) and thats RIGHT out of college...

I currently work at one of CCF's regional hospitals. I have been there since I was a new ADN grad in 2004. I started at 21.25/hour with $1 shift diff and a night shift bonus (7.5% of gross wages every 3 months). My friend, who has her BSN, made exactly the same. Seven years later, I make 26.65/hr, no more night shift bonus and really no other incentives. Experience? Yes, but as another poster said at CCF "a nurse is a nurse is a nurse."

Hi, I see this thread is a bit old, but my husband is thinking of taking an engineering job close to Cleveland Clinic. I have 5yrs PCU Cardiac experience (BSN-PCCN) and would love to work with a great heart hospital. I saw some openings for cardiac/ tele units but they just list the floor by number. I love post surgical, medical cardiac patients (progressive)-I will do it all but the vents. Can someone help me out and identify floors/ units I may like. What are your ratios? Any comments or suggestions are appreciated:)

Thanks!

How many years did you have as an LPN before starting at CCF? I heard they start new LPN's at $15 or $16 dollars, is that true??

I heard that they start new LPN's at $15 or $16 dollars at CCF, does anyone know if this is true?? and what is the pay scale for an LPN there?

That is very untrue. I had no experience at all. I'm pretty sure I'm at the bottom of the payscale.

I think they have lowered their pay rate. I know someone who turned down a job offer recently because it was too low. That's what I was told.

Maybe they have? I was hired in early 2010.
