Made an overall grade of 81.2%. It was the general science that kicked my butt. There were all these questions about rocks! WHAT?!?! I've never learned anything about rocks.
So I wanna know - do you think my overall grade is 'good enough', or should I plan on taking it again next year?

The silly earth science questions were my worst part, too.
It really depends on the program you're applying for. If it is competitive, and TEAS test score is part of the consideration, it will probably help you to take it over. However, a bunch of schools around here just require that you get a passing score (67-70%, depending on the school) in all categories. If the school you're applying to is like that and you got the necessary score, there's no point in doing it again.

Obviously it depends. If everyone thats applying got an 80% on it then yes its good enough. If everyone thats applying got an 82% then no, its not good enough.

I'm taking the TEAS at some point this month, I'm already enrolled in college finishing up my pre-reqs and if I get a good enough grade I'll be allowed into the nursing program for the spring. How was the TEAS in general? (besides the crappy earth sci questions) I'm so nervous

Hi there
Most people, who take the TEAS, have difficulties with the science part, so if you can recall any science questions and post them here would be great, because we can help each other out. 82% is good enough for Community colleges, but not good enough for Universities. How many times can you retake the Teas, Does your school take the highest scores overall?
I studied the ATI study guide which was a HUGE help. I highly recommend it. The test really wasnt as bad as I had expected. But be sure to eat before testing. About half way through (right about the time I started the science portion) my stomach was growling and I was just so ready to be done. I started at 9:30 and was out of there at 12:15.

Oh gosh... ummm.... definatly know the different types of rocks and how they are formed. Sorry, thats really all I can recall. That whole section was completly foreign to me.

I am severely frustrated with this stupid TEAS test. I have taken it 4 times... The first two times were really just to see how the test went and then the 3rd time I took it I really studied (but had to take during finals) and got a 85.9%. That wasn't enough to get accepted.... So since I had taken it 3 times and everytime the test was the same I studied everything I could remember from the test to make sure I got a higher score. Much to my surprise but the last time I took it the test totally changed......... So all my studying was worthless as nothing I studied was on the test. I ended up doing worse than I had the last time. 82.5%..... I have 1 last chance to take it before my app's are due and I am about ready to give up. I have a 4.0, work experience, and volunteer exp working in the ER, but if I cant get a 90% on this stupid test everything that I have done this far is a waste. Starting to think that I will never pass this stupid test with a good enough score.... Sorry for the rant just needed to vent! I've been denied once I dont want to spend more time sitting around hoping to get in.........
What part do you think you didn't do well? I know that if you can't figure out the correct answers, you're just gonna repeat the same score over again without improving it.
For the Math part, I think there are 60 questions, so you have to do it fast in order you can finish in time. In the science part, I think I still remember some questions, but I'm not sure they are the same with your TEAS
1. given Z 65/30, how many neutron are there?
2. Given a chart of family carried disease, how many % the grandchild is affected?
3. which body's organ produces insulin?
4. Fish and gel, what happened if the light permantly loss?
5. When two species compete for food, what type of graph is correct? A or B or C
6.Given two bars A and B, which population has higher chance of survive?
7. Given a graph of compound A, B, C, D or F, which compound is precipitated?
8. How many qts per 1 cup?
That's all I can recall.
Those questions that you posted were the questions that I had one the first three tests I took. Thus I studied all that information, knew what spelling to study, took 3 days to study the math, and etc but the last test I took was totally different..... So everything that I had studied wasn't on there. I am just worried that since I can only take it one more time that they might change the format again and I'll be screwed. This last test I took I improved my math by 4%, but still think I should have gotten a better score on the math than 88%. If I get the same format of the test I took the first 3 times I think I should be ok, but if they change it again..... idk I will probably fail.
sorry to hear that, but I guess they changed the TEAS's content for reasons.
Hopefully they're gonna use the old TEAS again.
so just hang in there.
You don't by any chance remember what the answers to some of those are? Question 1,3, and 8 I know but I don't think I figured out the answers from the other ones. Any other advice would be great.... I really want to well on this test next time! Thanks.

2. 100% is the answer because every generation, the disease is being passed down to either male or female.
4.Without light, the gel would die first, and lead the fish died because both live coexisten with each other. The answer is both fish and gel died.
5. If two species, A and B, live in a same community and compete for a same type of food. If specy A eat all the food resources, the graph is going up, then specy B don't have much food available, the graph is going down. The graph you should look for is like, if graph A go up, graph B go down and other way around.
6. A is the highest bar in the graph while B is the lower bar in the graph. The highest bar mean the chance for that specy to survive is higher, so the answer is A (highest bar)
7. If I remember correctly the answer should be F because F is the only graph that is not starting from zero, but somewhere on the x-axis line. Precipitated means when a solid substance is formed during the chemical reaction.
Hope this help! Good luck with your next TEAS
