Took my Nclex yesterday

Well I did try the infamous PVT trick with 2 old debit cards and 1 Americas tire gift card. Payment was declined and reason was invalid credit card number or call the credit card company and use a different card.. So I am guessing this is a bad sign....So I do not know what to do know. The site administrator for Pearson Vue said that the only reason why people get the " good pop up " was because they had just taken the test recently and that is why it is saying the payment cant go through, you already have a test scheduled etc.. It will take your money regardless if you passed or not, the words straight from him..he said not to even try it or believe in it.those people who passed probably did study and it is just a coincidence they get the good pop up and attribute it to being a pass/fail trick.so I dont know..Omg..I am freaking out..I will most likely go look into UWORLD and buy the 90 day subscription next month and take my test again in February..

Hi. What you mentioned is exactly my question to another posting about the PVT. Someone had posted that the PVT needs to be done about "the same time you took the test THE FOLLOWING DAY". So, I'm guessing one should do it within 24 hours after the test. And, if let's say you used a valid card...would you be charged another $200 IF you don't get the "good pop-up"? Somehow I feel like there's something fishy about the PVT. I am anxious, but in the meantime, I think I'll just wait and enjoy the rest of the summer with bbq and beer. :)

Hi...if u ask the pearson people they would not encourage it...i have 7 of my friends use the pvt, everybody got the good pop up, and everybody received the passing letter from bvnpt. I used my active credit card but i changed the expiration date. All 7 of us are taking nclex pn here in ca. And btw u cant check the breeze website if u haven't pay the $150 after u received your passing letter. Where did u take your nclex cjman24? I took mine @ontario. i hope u pass

I took my nclex pn in San Dimas on 8/24!! It stopped at 85 questions. Did the PVT and got the good pop up! Now just waiting to get my letter through the mail! Also I just want to stay to that I used UWORLD and mastery app and EXAM CRAM! I loved all of these 3! I hated kaplan because They weren't too detailed on there rationales. But UWORLD is by far the best detailed when it comes to rationales! Highly recommended!!! I only paid for one month and it was enough!

Hi masdeb,CNA,LVN, I took mine in Ontario also on 8/22. When did you take yours and did it cut off on you or did you get to finish the whole test.

Hi tameen, i took mine a week before u (8/15) @ 0800. My computer screen died after i finish question #85. I received my letter 8/22. Some of my friends (from that 7 people) received their letter 8 days after test, some a week after. 1 of the girl took it @ redlands, she have to answered all 205, and she passed.

Hi @masdeb woah that was fast! I hope I get mine soon then!!!! Did you pay the $150 for your license online or through the mail? I was told to do it online. Doing it through mail could take longer!

Ikr...most of friend got the letter 9 days after test. I paid it online. But 1 of my classmate, she's the 1st one from our class that took the nclex, she paid hers on 7/28 and per 8/29 hasn't got her license card and we still cant see her name yet on breeze website... Good luck on yours @cindy16 ï¿½ï¿½ and for me the pvt works. I used my valid cc, i jus changed the year on the expiration date, and i got the good pop up. I tried it 4hr, 12hr, 24hr, and 48hr post test, and all of them gave me good pop up

@masdeb wow! Your classmate should call the BON. That's a really long time. I know my classmates got theres pretty fast after paying the $150. Maybe 2 weeks tops. Then again I guess it just depends how busy they are. BTW congrats on passing your boards!!!! :) I'm doing my IV CERT/blood drawl classes in 2 week!

Then again I guess it just depends how busy they are. BTW congrats on passing your boards!!!! :) I'm doing my IV CERT/blood drawl classes in 2 week!

really?! i will let her know. one of my classmate planned to go to sacramento and applied for the interim license (she already passed), because she already got hired as LVN, but she have at least 1 week (she's orientating right now) to have the license on hand. good luck on the IV/blood withdrawal. our class took the IV/blood with 2 wks after our last day of lVN school. let us know when u received your letter. i believed u pass...PVT works

Thank u Tameen...u got this...did your school use ATI? we use ATI, and I personally like ATI. i never use uworld...i only used free app on iphone, i forgot the name, but it has 5000 questions. everytime i have free time i use it.

I'm guessing that the PVT will not work unless you do it right after taking the exam, 24 hours or less. I have not come across any posting on here that they did it after a day or more and mentioned passing...everyone has said doing the PVT within a couple of hours after taking the test. I even read on one post that he/she had a "good pop-up" then did it a few times again, only to get a letter that he/she failed...which is heartbreaking.
