I would love to hear some words of encouragement from anyone with an insight into this mess. I took the exam yesterday, it took me an hour and 15 mins about. The computer shut off at 75. To be completely honest I didnt know any of the answers positively, I really had to reason through. I was shocked to see that almost all the questions I got were prioritizing, teaching or standard precautions /prioritizing. I've heard that these are considered the higher end questions. I just feel terrible and Im making my friends and family nuts. If anyone can just give me some words of wisdom I would forever be in your debt. Thank you !

Hi there, i just took the exam today, the same feeling at least someone had my same mood!
I had been in shock, didn't wanna say anything, not return phone calls period, this exam was so weird, i can be sure in only a few questions that i did right, the rest guessing type, or so, i am desvastated, all my time waste, but life is like that sometimes, we have to re-do ourself and get focus for the next one!
Doesn't mean that you didn't pass probably my pc shut off because was enoght mistakes and wrong stuff, and yours, the reverse, you did great, who knows just wondering focus in my own experience, plenty of questions of prioritizing and meds, plus....
I will be posted, let see what happen only two posibilities!
I would like to celebrate our pass
only a miracle for me!

Mine shut off at 75 as well,I felt I was guessing my whole way through, prioritizing, infection control teaching consistently one after the other,I was a wreck when the computer shut off at 75,but I passed thank god,you probably did too if you got the same types of ?'s,relax, take a deep breathe the wait is the worst part.I am saying prayers for all of you waiting for answers,I was a wicked woman to my faminy after that test,it's a killer to wait, but the end result will be o.k trust me.

Hi there nursellisaann, I took the Nclex RN on the 19th of july and i had 257 questions that seemed to go on for ever. it took me 3 and half hours to get done. i was totally convinced that i had failed because i had so many questions. most of the questions were prioritzing and drugs and they just kept getting harder. i got my results the next day on line telling me that i had passed i was really blown away. so dont give up hope due to the number of question that you may get and hang in there

I took mine today and the computer shut off at 75 questions also. I can't even remember any of the questions but I do know they were mostly prioritizing, one dosage calculation and a few medications. I'm sure I failed!!!! I think I was in shock when it shut off now they tell me I'll have to wait till Wednesday to find out.

I also got 75 questions and took 1:45. I wasn't so confident but as I talked to my friends and read the encouragement on these boards I felt better. My friends mother gave her a good perspective:
If you fail will you have to go back to nursing school?
Will you have enough to eat?
Of course we can only try to use what we always do to decrease pain:
Use distraction
Take lots of deep breaths
splinting (via hugs)
and be gentle on yourself.
Don't make any major decisions
Treat yourself to a pedicure or night out with others who passed
Just wanted to let everyone know got my results and I passed!!!!

Go do something you love and try and take your mind off this exam. Your done for now! Be happy that what you have been studying for is over.
I bet you passed! I've been on this board a while and haven't seen anyone fail at 75.

It also took me about an hour to take 75 questions and a lot were prioritizing, teaching or standard precautions. I felt good about the test, actually pretty sure I passed (which I did) Sounds like you did too, congratulations in advance :)
