This is my obligatory NCLEX post.I went in cool as a cucumber. I left with a very real risk of heart failure. At one point I closed my eyes and focused on some abdominal breathing just like I reviewed in one of my practice questions...
Here's some info: I graduated from a 2.5 year BSN program on 5/18. I received my ATT on 5/26. I heeded the advice of almost all of my coworkers and scheduled the soonest available date which left me 2 weeks to study.
Throughout school I did many questions on Evolve's Adaptive Quizzing and studied out of the HESI NCLEX Review book for all of the HESI exams I took. After school, I took a Hurst live review and I don't regret it. It definitely filled in a few content gaps I had, and I appreciated the test strategies. I made an average of 89/125 or 71% on the Q Reviews (which looked very much like the real test).
My test cut off at 75 at a little less than an hour. It had at least two meds that I didn't know and couldn't figure out based on pre/suffixes. It had no dosage calculations (which I would have rocked). 10-15 SATA. Lots of prioritization. A couple of disorders that I've never heard of.
My state's BON is usually very fast with posting licenses very quickly, often the same day for the morning testers. Since I took min in the afternoon, I hope it shows up tomorrow.
Congrats to you lady. I found you on someone else post and was reading your comment. I find us thinking alike in some matters I wish you the best!!!!!
