Took NCLEX today....at a loss for words!!!!!

I took the nclex-rn today and I just don't know what to say about it. I feel just awful. I am pretty sure I failed because I only got 3 SATA, a few priority and infection control and 4-5 meds, and 2 exhibit questions. A vast majority of my questions were only 1-2 sentences. These can't be critical thinking questions...right? I just don't know what to think. I really feel I bombed that test. I was such a good student, I never expected to feel this way. Any input would be appreciated.

We're in the same boat. I got 3- 4 SATAs only. My questions were 1-2 sentences only. Lots of prioritization, reportable signs, and isolation precautions.

I felt the same way when I took my test! I left in tears confident I had just failed. I called a friend of mine who took it the week before me and had passed and that is exactly how she walked out. I spent the whole day trying to figure out when I could retake it and what I was going to do different. I think if you walked out of there thinking you aced it there would be a bigger problem. It is supposed to be hard. I would try and relax (which I know from experience is better said than done). Depending on where you live you can find out in a few days.Try not to dwell on it! good luck!

oh by the way..i found out the day after my test i had passed :)

I am also in the same boat with you guys. I also had about the same makeup of the question array. I also talked to a classmate of mine after the test (she took and passed the exam in January). She said it sounded close to what she had. I wouldn't worry about it, I am thinking positive thoughts for all of us.

BTW, I too felt sick and well.. lost after the test. I am still, I would say, dumb founded right now. I think it's normal after a test like that and is in no way indicative of failing it. Everyone I have spoken to had the same reaction after the test and all except for one passed.

HAng in there. We'll all pass, just wait and see.

PS Can I just say that the fact that CA makes us wait so long makes me just sick; we are supposed to be at the forefront in technology and stuff out here. We should be able to find out immediately I think. Oh well, just had to vent.
