Took NCLEX Today... :( Feel Like I Failed!

Nursing Students NCLEX

I took it today and it me shut off at 75. I'm really down right now but I'm trying not to be. It's wierd because I was thinking that after the test I would have a very free feeling, but now I feel nothing but dread. I got 3 or maybe 4 calculations, and about 10-15 select all that apply. Select all that applies are so freaking hard regardless of the topic area! I was getting select all that applies on stuff that wasn't too complicated, but I still feel like it's so hard to get all of them right. I think my last 10 questions were prioritization questions. I was also pretty heavy on infection control questions, but lighter than I expected on pharmo questions. I wasn't getting random crazy pharmo questions like many people say they do when it cuts off at 75. What does this all mean? I studied my ass off for this but, like many on this thread, felt like I was doing a lot of guessing. I felt pretty sure about some of my answers, but obviously not that sure. Somebody make me feel better here please! It's gonna be a long weekend either way...

It is an exam in it's own right and a very hard one to predict pass or fail. Most people come out of the exam feeling down so you are not alone there. I know it is easier said than dne but try to relax and Good luck

No one feels good when they leave that exam.

Trying to second guess how you did will drive you crazy, you are just going to need to wait until you get your actual results.

And best of luck to you.

Hey I know you passed, all the people that feels like they didn't do very good on the test passed!! Plus you study and you must think positive from now long. I must say that all my classmates acted just like you when they're were finished with the test, I have a friend that was so sure that she didn't pass that she got sick of her stomach and her husband had to go and meet her after the test to bring her home. and she was my class best student!! So you passed my friend!! Just think that very feel people don't pass this test! Well I will be taking my next week June 18th so pray for me too, I am not studying like I was because I just don't have the energy anymore. God Bless you !!:saint::redbeathe:heartbeat:redbeathe:heartbeat:loveya:

Thanks for the replies. Do you think Select All That Apply questions are in the 'high level' question category? There so hard that you'd think they would be, but I'm not sure.

SATA are just another type of question, not sure if I would categorise them as higher level as some mention they found them easier than expected. I really know it is easier said than done but try to forget about what questions you got and relax. Stressing over it now is not going to make you feel any better nor change the results of the exam.

i have yet to talk to a single person (without exception) who didn't walk out feeling like they'd failed. breath... relax... ignore that "feeling"...keep us posted.:innerconf

I had 30 SATA questions on my NCLEX and do not feel that all of them are higher level questions. I had some that were simple/easy......and some that were very difficult. So I do not feel that the fact it is an SATA makes it a higher level question, I think it comes down to what the question is asking....just like any other question on the exam that is not a SATA!

P.S. I honestly thought I failed too but ended up passing. This is a normal feeling!!! Try your best to take it easy even though I know that is very hard to do!
