I took the NCLEX today for the 4th time, it shut off after 75 questions and 2 hours. I tried to look on pearson but there site appears to be down. This is the first time I have had such a short exam... first time was 191 questions, 2nd time was 206 questions, 3rd time was all 265 questions. I used kaplan's review program and their decision tree and answered more questions than I can count.
I had 12 Sata, 6 put in order, 3 drug calculations and a TON of "which atient do you see first?"
So fingers crossed, prayers to any god that might be listening and I have to wait for the quick results.
I mainly used Kaplan to study as I was having trouble with understanding HOW to take the NCLEX. My nursing knowledge was fine, but Kaplan showed me how the NCLEX views certain issues which maybe viewed differently in real life.
I just finished taking Kaplan for the second time! Didn't pass the first time I took exam (last year October). I spent more time reading questions and answered it using decision tree more, understanding it more ..and answering with quality and critical thinking, my Q trainer scores were ALL better than last time! I wish I had more time to do Qbank though. I did like 530 + questions this time, with 55% on Qbank. Any suggestions on how to study second time around?!?! I am hoping to take NCLEX by end of this month! Did you use any other study guide?
