Took NCLEX-RN today, stopped at 265

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi all, this was my second time taking the NCLEX and my first time stopping at 265. I had lots of SATAS probably 10+, 4 drag and drops, 5-6 calculations (i'm sure I got those wrong lol), ALOT OF infection control, and lots of "the nurse will follow up.." questions, I pretty much think I had every type of question style/format and topic the NCLEX had to offer lol. I even used up all 6 hours with 5 min remaining on my last question...it was very grueling :sniff: and i'm also not sure if I got the last question right, so that kinda bugs me. Anyways, I honestly have to say that I did feel better than I did taking it the first time, but that's probably not saying much. Just out of curiousity and relief, has anyone had the same experience and result as me and have PASSED?

I've also heard that if you stop at 265 and finish before 6 hours, the computer counts the only last question if you got it right or wrong & that will determine pass/failure or something about the computer counting the last 60 questions getting more right than wrong will determine pass/failure, can anyone clarify or confirm this?

Thanks much in advance, Good luck to all future test takers and retaker's!

Yes third time is a charm. So sorry, I know you must be dissapointed. Just keep plugging along. I used kaplan, saunders and a lot of prayers :)

God Bless,

One more thing, I dont know how God answers prayers or helps u pass the nclex bcuz it def. did not work for me the first two times...bunch of bologna. but thats just my 2 cents. i dont mean to offend anyone, just need to vent. Gonna rely on myself from now on.

I would say do not rush to resit, better to set a pace and practice questions making sure you fully understand what is being asked. Read the rationale even if you get it right

God definitely helps us ALL...he wants us to help ourselves as well & when someone isnt successful on a first try, maybe its because He has something better in store for us! Just something to ponder.

I feel the same way. I took my boards today, and received the full 265. I felt confident going into the test, and now I am anticipating that I failed miserably. It seems that many people don't really get the full 265, so I am really unsure of what to expect, and what the general results display for those of us who do get the full 265. It is nice to know that there are others who also received the 265 and passed, eases the anxiety some, but there is still a lot there.....
