Nursing Students NCLEX

Published

Well, I took the NCLEX-RN today (8/10) and it shut off at 75. I feel pretty confident about it so I'm itching for my results to be available online. SOOO glad to have that thing over with!

Hi doctor's wife, thank you for your reply. Hopefully I will pass.

Newname,

I took NCLEX on Aug 8th and it shut off at 75. It was tough.... nothing like nursing school (I graduated from a BSN program)....or like many of the practice NCLEX questions I'd done in books. I had drug calculations, pharm questions, at least 8 of the check all that apply, lots of priority questions...(which pt to see first, what do you do first, or who do you assign to the LPN or Nurse asst). I'd answer questions after carefully and slowly thinking through the diseases of each pt and implications... and wondering what was really going on, etc. I often wondered if I had a chance of passing because I rarely felt certain about my choices (except the 2 drug calculations).

Two days later, I logged onto the test site and found out I had passed (unofficial results). Then.... over the weekend, my official license arrived in the mail!

If the computer shuts off at 75 and the questions were of higher difficulty, then that's a GOOD SIGN! I bet you passed.

Georgia is such a sloooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww state. I took mine on Thur w/ 76 ?'s, found out on Pearson Vue 48 hours later that I passed, and my name still isn' t on the license verification for GA BON, let alone a hard copy in my mailbox. You all are so lucky to get your papers after teh weekend.

It still doesn't feel real. I check my Pearson Vue site a couple times a day still to make sure the PASS is still there, not a mistake. If I ever get that piece of paper, I will pin it to my bra, bronze it, or something!!!

Gosh, gotta get out of this place! Need work.

I'm in South Carolina, but took NCLEX in Asheville, NC because I couldn't find openings in short notice near Columbia, SC. I'd had to re-schedule from my original earlier date due to my mother's death and other family hospitalizations.

Interestingly, friends who graduated with me and took NCLEX in Columbia had to wait much longer to recieve their license than I did. I had a friend who drove to Charleston to take it and she had the same quick turn around that I did. I also have freinds with Georgia jobs who are in the same boat you are... waiting forever for their license to be posted on the Ga Board of Nursing. I don't know why GA takes so long. I'm so sorry. Congratulations on passing, however!

Hi everyove, me-I'am new and not an RN, but my wife took the exam on the 22 nd of August in California we have no quick results, so it has been 10 days she is absolutely freeking out, she says that it shut off at 75 questions, and had 3 math questions about 15 medication questions at the end but most of all she had priority questions, can someone tell me is that a good thing that she started seeing the med questions at the end or not? Also I think RNs should write a complain to governor an ask for quick results just like all other states it is unacceptable!!! thanx please let me know asap about my question!

I took it August 13, 2007 and found out on the CA BON on August 15 , 2007 that i passed. If she got 75 questions more than likely she passed it also depends on where she went to school if her transcripts are in and f they are not they will not post any results on the website . I went to school in Sacramento and my college submitted all paperwork in July ....Tell her hang in there and I am sure she is fine

Doubt it will change as Ca will allow you to sit the exam with a incomplete file so will not release results until complete. Average is 3-10 days although some do post it took longer. The test is hard to predict even with types of questions as it will differ from person to person

It really doesnt matter if you got math questions, on my test i had no math questions at all , but i did get 6 select all that apply and i swear about 20 med questions and a ton of priority questions. so by the sounds of it , it sounds like your wife did a good job and California is just slow with the results but check website daily to see if she is on there , they update in the wee hours of the morning
