Oh really, I thought it was easy too... I got a bunch of infection control, some easy meds and assessments (like where can you find this certain pulse, which I missed!!!)What types of questions did you get?Clara
had a bunch of priority...maybe about 6 SATA...2 drug calcs (the one that u had to compute mcg/kg/min)....about 8 drug questions......maybe about 10 infection control...no diagrams...1 peds.....1 psych.....bunch of med surg questions
the way i remembered infection control...especially the "airborne" part was "too much cd"
t- tuberculosis
m- measles
c- chickenpox
d- disseminted varicella zoster
and of course u have to put them in a neg. air pressure room and use those special masks
my lil pnemonic (sp?) really helped me tackle it
and rsv is NOT airborne or droplet...its CONTACT! many many people always get confused with that.:heartbeat
I know I didnt pass, I got all those questions, one with alzheimers, few ICP questions. I hate the fact that i studied for 1 month everyday for 8 hrs doing about 5000 Questions and nothing. stops at 75 and boom, that damn blue screen. all the best to everyone
I PASSED!!!!!!!!!! disregard the my message above! i kept looking for my name on the NY website and with the exam, I sware I didnt pass. but I got my letter today and with 75 questions, I actually did it. So never lose faith.

Hey brown-eyed girl,
Sounds like we had almost the exact test but I got 21 SATA!!!!!! Ugh, I hate those things. Some of them I only wanted to pick 1-2 things out of 6 but the more you looked at the answers, the more I wanted to add as a choice. When I answered a question and was pretty sure I got it right, I knew when I hit the next button that it would be another SATA!!. Good news is that 85% of test takers pass the first time. The odds are definitely in our favor.
