It was by far the worst test of my life! I did good all through school, and this test just kicked my butt. I don't understand, the first 7 or 8 questions were ok, they were fairly easy, and then BOOM it was like someone shut off the easy test and put me on the test for a masters degree I felt like I did not even understand the way they were wording the questions. I had NO dosage problems at all, which I am good at GRRR that would have helped~! And I literally had a ton of select of all that apply! I hate those! I would say at least 15 questions were select all that apply. At least I didnt have any fill in the blank... I did do the PVT and got the good popup, but its been over 24 hours and still no quick results. I did not leave with a good feeling, thats for sure....It stopped at 85 questions, but is that a pretty sure sign that you passed for sure? I mean everyone tells you that, but cant you do so terrible that it stops you because you didnt know anything??? Thats how I felt, like I knew nothing.
I have never taken the NCLEX, as I am in nursing school right now. I did, however, take the NREMT-B test, which is also a CAT proctored by PearsonVue. I thought I did horribly and mine shut off at the earliest point possible. I passed. With CATs I don't know of anyone who has thought they did well on them. That is the way they are designed.
Well I took the NCLEX-PN today and as far as I'm concerned, the test could have been in Chinese.....shut off at the minimum of 85.............now the wait begins.
Where majority of your questions like every one else stated on this forum from the following topics?. delegation, prioritizing and infection control? GoodLuck
Took my NCLEX PN California in December of 2010 and all the questions on my boards were pretty random. What helped my girlfriends and I was buying the questions from learning ext. (www.learningext.com)
3 weeks - $50 | 5 weeks - $70 | 8 weeks - $100 | 15 weeks - $160
3 of us split 5 weeks together so we ended up paying $23.33 each
I watched the ATI videos, learningext questions, and online ATI tests
Good Luck!!!!
stopping @ 85 DOESN'T mean you passed four of my classmates stopped @ 85 and they did NOT pass. However you DID say you got the good pop up and THAT has been proven A TRUE SIGN of passing. NOTHING like getting the ACTUAL results though. If you got the good pop up YOU PASSED!!! yea, yea, congrats.
I agree about the good pop up. Hasn't seem to be wrong in any of the zillion posts I read. Two of my classmates and I stopped at 85 and before we knew "officially" that we passed, the DON at our school told us that to fail at 85, you would have to get all of the 60 questions needed to pass wrong. Don't know if that is true but I knew I did not get 60 questions wrong.
Playas09.............did you test yet? If not, good luck!!!

From what I read and saw on Judith Miller's video's....if you are doing well, the questions get harder, if you get questions wrong, they get easier. I'd feel pretty confident about the good pop-up - just my opinion. Good luck!!! I take mine tomorrow and am ready to throw up!
