Took NCLEX PN today

Published

:(I feel like crying for days and running away. I took my NCLEX Pn today and I felt like I knew only about 10 answers. I ended up with 105 questions. Some of my friends had only 85 questions and passed. When my test didn't cut off at 85 I started to panic and stress. I kept telling myself that I didn't pass. I was so depressed when I walked out of that room.

I feel like I should start studying now so that I can retake it. I just feel like I didn't pass! I guess I will know for sure on Saturday.

Stay positive. 85% pass on first try and almost 100% leave the building thinking they failed. Try to relax and wait for the results. The number of questions you get has NO bearing on whether you pass/fail. ((( HUGS )))

Hang in there, very hard to predict how you did but as mentioned in the previous post you have a 85% chance of passing

I took NCLEX PN today too...and feel exactly the same way!! :banghead::banghead: My whole test was infection control and prioritization, and stopped at 85. Study those guys!!! you will need them. Know when to wear a gown, mask, particulate mask...the whole nine yards. I got like 5-6 meds...some I had never heard of. Mods, are we allowed to say which meds? And the med questions didn't set it up like Saunders "pt with CHF is taking xyz med, what are the side effects," they were straight forward "pt is taking xyz med, what are the side effects," so no help if you've never heard of the drug. I got ZERO math questions:(. A few maternity, but more along the lines of "these four women are in labor, who do you see first." Not a whole lot of peds, whatever they asked was from the communicable diseases chapter in Saunders. If I remember anything else, I'll post them. Hope this helps at least one person. Good luck everybody!!!

p.s... I studied from Saunders and Lippincott, and VERY LOOSELY followed Suzannes plan (the main word being loosely).

:yeah: Thanks for all the support! I found out this morning that I PASSED!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am finally a NURSE!! :nurse:
