three of my classmates took they're test on Mon.

one had 85 and a lot of all that apply questions. She passed. All that have had 85-90 in the class have passed. You've done great, feel good about it. Do you remember what type of questions you had?

I had 2 math fill ins and about 6 select all and the rest were multiple choice. I hope I pass the waiting is killing me, thanks for the support.

CTnurse24- Congratulations on passing!! You must be SO relieved! Now you can take deep breaths again and get on with it. Good for you!!!

Thank you for the good luck wishes to those of us who have just taken or are about to take our test. I took the NCLEX on 1-31 and I couldn't believe how dumb I felt. What the heck were all those questions about things I'd never heard of? And- zero clues in the question to help figure it out. I hate select-all-that-apply, but there were tons of those, as well as priority questions. The priority questions on the practice exams were pretty easy, but these were NOT!

Mine stopped at 85, which gives me hope. Not alot, but some.

JMMJ, I too live in California, so I share your woes. Best of luck to us both, and to everyone else too!

Did any of you study with Kaplan JUST the Qbank? If so what were your % overall before you took NCLEX? Im only at 53% but just bought it on friday so in 2 days its at 53% as I am not used to those ques. I mostly studied lippin cotts and mosbys and did well w those up until Kaplan.. Im really confused..? One of my class mates just took his on Sat and said it was off the wall ques. and by the sounds of NCLEX seems more like Kaplan style... feedback??? And this is solely for LVN... thanx!

HeartJulz- I didn't use Kaplan, but I did use a variety of others, including Lippincott's, NCLEX 2500, Eyles, Mosby's, and a few others that are on my laptop upstairs that I can't remember off the top of my head. But not Kaplan.

Your classmate was correct, my test also had alot of off-the-wall questions. I studied hours each day, but most of the stuff on my test was not in the study materials.

It makes me feel a tiny bit better to know that almost everyone who takes the test comes out feeling the way I felt (dazed and confused) and that the majority of people who are positive they failed, actually passed. We'll see.

Good luck to you. Keep studying a variety of materials. Have you taken a review class?

No I didnt take a review class... my classmate that passed , did. I asked him if he thought it helped tremendously and he said he couldnt really say because the NCLEX is so off the wall, but he pay $800 for that review class.. I thought I could get the just of it down on my own, but I have little faith now. I know he passed because he just has it down .. he will be an extremely good nurse.. he always got As in school and then theres me who is more like a C-B student ..although I did get an A in Peds... who tries to be so independent about this and do it all on my own , which who knows.. in the end maybe it was worth being that much more in debt... all I know is I really would like to pass this first shot.. I am in serious debt and need a job.. I thought this would be hard, but not to this extreme and now I am feeling some days I might slip into depression if this doesnt work out the way Id liek ti to ... anyway thanx for the input.
