Took Nclex got 265, any hope of passing?

Published

Hi Guys,

Took Nclex went all the way to 265 questions. On my first 80 questions I feel confident but as it chug along all the way to 150 I know I'm in trouble:o I have two computations, 5 all that apply and lotsa priority and psycho. I notice some questions seems to be a repeat of the earlier questions. Does that mean I got it wrong the first time that's why its asking me again? :uhoh3:

What are the percentage of passing for people going all the way 265 VS @75-80 questions shut off? It sure doesn't look good.

Hello everyone!!

I just took my nclex TODAY!!! (*scream*) And needless to say i had 265 questions too! I (like many of the others) started off super strong...confident that it would shut off at 80 or 90. Freaked out at all the breaks...had a couple panic attacks....and to top it off MY LAST QUESTION WAS NOT ALL THAT HARD....thats what has me sooooo worried....I kno that they are supposed to get harder as you get closer to the minimum line of competency!! May God be with me!!! b/c its not lookin too hot for me right now:uhoh21:

Well Tex, just hang in there and start praying...

i am going crazy! I took my nclex this morning and got all 265 questions. I got a mix then renal, renal questions, that had to be the worse test i have ever taken. What is the best thing to do while you wait, besides feel as if i failed! oh no! So i sit and wait.........:uhoh21::scrying:

i passed with 265 questions.. got only 6-7 select all that apply. Most of my questions were prioritization..To those who got 265, just keep on praying...you'll be fine! trust me!:balloons:

I took the exam about 3 weeks ago and I was a victim of having to answer ALL 265 questions. That last question was the one that got me sweating bullets and it wasn't even that hard. It was a priority question. Luckily I didn't freak out until #265 til I got my results, which I got 2 days later. And I passed. From looking at the posts, it seems like everyone has passed. Congrats to those who just recently passed!!

i took my nclex and yes,i finished at 265 too!and now,i think i need to take a dose of valium just to keep me calm!:scrying: i got LOADS AND TONS of medications, prioritizations, and time consuming computations that needs alot of conversions.i really didnt expect it to be that hard. but im praying and hoping tho for the best.i hope i will pass too.you guys are still lucky to know the results right away.i need to wait for 4-6 weeks for the result. cali dont give quick result service and it's disappointing.im asking for prayers and prayers also to those who are ranting while waiting for their result. God bless!

hey everyone! your posts are lifting my spirits right now. just took n-clex yesterday and got all 265 questions. i had 3 drug calculations and about 8 or 9 select all that apply and tons of meds and prioritization questions. i don't know but it was terribly hard, which i think is a good sign cause that means you got to the upper level or passing level. i hope to find out by tomorrow! this is awful waiting...i was in my nursing school's honor society and everything...i never expected all 265 but it happened so i guess now i just wait. please keep me in your prayers!!!!!!!!!!!:o

i understand you completely. i took it yesterday also. i thought i was going to get up after about 75, cause hey, i'm an honor grad but no......kept going, and going, and going. i had too many meds and prioritization. i am starting to get a little hope but that's so unrealistic

Hey everyone,

Thanks so much to all of you that posted saying that you passed even though you had to complete the dreaded 265 questions. I took the test this morning and was devastated when I had to sit through the entire thing. Like many of you mentioned, I felt pretty good through the first 80, and then started to lose confidence really quickly - especially as I got up past 150, 175, 200, etc. It got really bad when my two classmates got up and left a couple of hours before I did - they both only had to answer 75-77 questions. I am the first in my class who has had to answer more than 80, and I thought for sure that this meant that I have no chance of passing. I really appreciated finding this blog and seeing that it is possible to take the entire test and still pass. I hope to get my results in a couple of days, and while I am not quite as much of a nervous wreck as I was before I found this blog, I am still very worried! I would really appreciate any prayers that anyone has to offer!!

Thank you!

Jenn

Wishing you the best of luck, 020509. Hope you get good news. And even if you don't, don't give up, because you will pass too, as long as you keep trying.
