Really, it came the end of March. Wow, I must have got the months mixed up, I thought it was April. Great, now I am really anxious.
Did you apply last year? Maybe they sent the letters out in batches. I have old emails that show me letting my friends know I got the letter on Saturday, March 31st :wink2:.
inspire,
Like you, my gpa is 4.0 and my hesi score was 94.98%. Looking at the posts from last year makes me hopeful that I'll get in. I do have some questions for anyone who has already gotten in and might know... What happens after you get your letter? Do you know when your start date is right away or do you have to wait for that as well? I understand that you can ask for your ranking from the nursing office, but when can you do that (if you know), and does your ranking affect your start date?
Well, those are all that I have for right now. Thanks for any info.
H-n-H :)

The acceptance letter will give you a deadline by which you have to pay $100 to save your spot in the program (and no, it's not refundable). If I remember correctly, it was only maybe a week to pay it...so don't plan on going away for a weeks' vacation, and have that cash ready, don't plan on paying it with the following weeks' paycheck!
After you make your payment you can go over to the Enrollment desk and they will tell you your ranking. You won't get the letter with your exact start date until June (or was it July?), but you can get a rough idea from your ranking: 1-30 start in August, 31-60 start in October, 61-90 start in January, and 91-120 start in March. Again, only a rough idea since some people opt to start later because they need to finish micro or nutrition and don't want to do it with their nursing classes. I think I ranked #41, but enough people opted to start later so I was able to start in August instead, which was exactly what I wanted!
Kak,
Thanks for the great information. It will help, because I am such a planner that when I do get my happy news (always the optimist) I'll be trying to figure out the next step. Happily I am finishing up my A&P and Nutrition now, so wherever I rank(again, the optimist), I could get right to work.
It's Sunday, so no trip to the mailbox. I do want you to know, though, I actually know my mail carrier's name: it's Felicia, and I'm gonna tell her to knock on my door if she's got something good for me. Of course I'll probably be in class.

Okay, I will admit that I have been making a beeline to the mailbox everyday knowing full well that it is far too soon for any type of letter from the nursing office to be in it, but I suppose that I will be doing that until something arrives.
Of course, I know that I'm not the only one.
So come on people, lets do this together.
Say this mantra to yourself and we can get through it.
"I've checked the mailbox ____ times today, and I'm not really crazy or have OCD."
This is your pre-nursing therapy for the day.
