My Exam is due this March in HK and I have yet to find an affordable
and nearest hotel to the testing center. I'll be traveling with a companion.
Any travel agency would you recommend? Or is it more cheaper if I plan
everything on my own?
Need your recommendations. Thanks in advance!
Loryn :)
Guys,Any recommendation of places to visit while in HK aside from Ocean Park, Disneyland, The Peak?

*disneyland of course, but in my case it was the day before the chinese new year thats why there was a LOT i mean A LOT of people!

Metropark Causeway HK Hotel is very clean and green, with all the parks and sports complex surrounding it. In other words, it is a very conducive place for reviewing and brushing-up things right before you take the NCLEX, or just plain calm you down. I got a harbourview std room for the price of 80+ usd/night, so there were no views of clothes hanging from other buildings. Just the park and the unobstructed view of the harbour in front of your desk. HotelTravel debited from my card 2 weeks before I checked in. No extra charges surfaced on my account. You can call the hotel directly (using PLDT budget card - 3 pesos/min for HK) 6 days from your reserved date to confirm your booking. Before that date, the booking will be under the name of the domain. Make sure you ask for a non-smoking high floor with a double bed (if you're just one). The MTR (Tin Hau station) is just across the main road on the side of the hotel. The Grand Millenium Plaza bldg (Sheung Wan station) is 1 MTR ride (5 stations away) from the Tin Hau station w/o transfer. There's a supermarket and 7-11 on the same block w/o the crowd, dirt and noise of Mongkok,Central,Tsim Sha Tsui, or Causeway Bay. I bought the 3 day pass Octopus card with a return Airport Express rides for convenience for 300 hkd with 50 hkd refundable if you return the card in the airport. It was worth it. If you want to save more money, there is bus A11 stopping near the hotel at odd times (just ask the reception for details but I saw that bus passing on the street at the back of the hotel). This bus will take you to the airport allowing baggages. There are buses w/c won't (I think the ones with x). You can send me PM. Btw, I passed!

Definitely, I'll get the MTR octopus card upon arriving at the airport. Its more convenient and hassle free if your going around Hong Kong. Since I'll be staying 5 stations away from the Testing site, having the unlimited ride ticket will save me lots of pressure on the day of exam.
Btw, which state did you applied? CA usually can provide you results within a day as I was told.

hi! loryn! i applied for the state of california, its been 3 weeks and 4 days now... still dont have the results...im worried,, oh my gosh.. is there any way i can get it earlier? oh my... pray for me... take care guys
if you are referring to your Eligibility application, it usually takes 6-8 mo. for California to approve your exam request, while other States usually takes less than 2-3 mo.
I would suggest that you start your review while waiting and once you get your notice, you can instantly schedule at Pearsonvue.
After your exam, you can verify your result instantly at CA BON site (Permanent License Verification): http://www.rn.ca.gov/
Take your time, pray and good luck!

Sorry, but that is not correct. You will not see your name on the CA BRN website until you give them a SSN#. You will only know that you passed by the letter received from them, and that takes about four weeks. That is well known for that time.
Passing of the NCLEX-RN exam for CA does not give you a license, you need to meet the other requirements. That is why you cannot endorse from CA if you do not have a license number issued.
Good luck to you. They say that it could take about a month to three months before the CA BON could notify you about the results. God bless!

Yes, take the MTR which is the most convenient means to go from one point to the other. Over 2.4 million people on the move every weekday, making it one of the most heavily utilized mass transit systems in the world.
