Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Published

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

I got my license today!!! My stress is over :D now my hope is to find a hospital in the Modesto/Stockton area that will have relocation assistance...fingers crossed!!! And no, I will not move to Stockton ever but the drive wont be bad from Modesto.

@buttaflyRN Are you an internationally educated nurse? There are alot of hospitals here in Modesto that will really give you relocation assistance. They are in desperate need for ER and ICU nurses. How long did you have to wait for your license?

Thank you for the info, it's great news!!! No, I'm not an international rn, I have 5 years of med surg experience which in my case has been almost a surgical icu minus vents and drips as sick as our pts are. Does it matter if I'm international for the relocation?

I mailed my app in June, they officially received it on 7/22, everything disappeared on 9/8 and on 9/13 I got a letter saying my state verification was missing. My state resent the verification and I was told to call back today (10/3) I did and she said all of my paperwork was there but it could take 2 to 2 1/2 weeks to find out my status. I rechecked a while later and found my license number :woot:

I'm interested in ER and ICU would prefer a SICU because I do love taking care of surgicals.

Congrats! I'm also moving to Modesto. I already have a job offer pending my license. I'm a APRN so hopefully won't be an even longer wait. Lol!

Congrats again! as for relocation if you are not living internationally, i am not so sure. Came over from Canada last August and my job here in Modesto is still pending since as we all know the processing takes forever. I hope you get ICU or ER soon! :)

I realized we have to post at least 15 posts before we can PM people. You only need one more. I guess I might need to ask more on some posts.

i just came home from BRN office to inquire on the status of my application. they just told me to wait 4 weeks till an evaluator reviews my paper.

Hi there! When did you apply for endorsement? Did you hear anything from the board?
