  1. Continually applied for 6 months and got a call 6 months after. It will be frustrating but it pays to have faith. Try applying for those casual positions. Gets your foot on the door and start working up from there. Good luck!
  2. Where did you graduate and what year?
  3. Can't blame the board for being extra careful with PH applicants for that matter. They are just doing their job protecting the public. But, as you said, we are the ones applying so we have to comply on their minimum requirements.
  4. The face and the surrounding area itself. I think the glass itself can withstand it but I am quite skeptical on the metal coating. Thanks for your response! :)
  5. I wonder how the coating can withstand those harsh chemicals for disinfection after work?
  6. Try looking for jobs in Hamilton Health Sciences. They have alot of jobs posted from the last time I checked on it. It took me 6mos before I got a call for an interview. Send as many applications as you can. Never did hurt to try. Goodluck!
  7. Arizona processes them way faster though. Not so sure if you would consider AZ for that matter. Mine is from there and my license became active in 3 weeks after submitting lawful presence. Just moved from Canada last month. Should things get longer than expected, I'll try traveling. Is your travel company great?
  8. Yeah just doing the submission of cases before they ask me. They confirmed it when I went personally to the BRN office. To get the cases, academic calendar and RLE ready so quicker review rather than wait for them to ask for it. I graduated on 2009. Goodluck to us!lol
  9. Nothing yet, I was expecting them to be processing Sept 1-15 this week. I applied on Sept 9. And also yes, I did apply for endorsement. But I don't really think there is going around this concurrency issue they are strictly implementing. When did you apply?
  10. What year did you graduate in the PH? I am currently in California but i did not expect it to be this unfair to us international graduates. I would rather take an OSCE and prove to them my credentials than just words written on a piece of paper. I might be going back soon. Can't afford to wait any longer not having a job here.
  11. @Mikeya As someone who currently has a job in an ICU unit in Ontario, finding jobs is really a challenge. As mentioned above, because of unions, an external RN applicant with maybe 5 years of experience will have no way of being considered for positions due to the fact that hiring will be based on seniority and not because of experience. Best bet for you will be to do northern nursing since they are having a hard time getting nurses to do very remote assignments. But the pay is really good plus you get tax credits from it.
  12. I realized we have to post at least 15 posts before we can PM people. You only need one more. I guess I might need to ask more on some posts.
  13. @emman1019 yes I am! graduated in the Philippines in 2009. I sent you a messenger request. I have a few questions for you! :)
  14. Congrats again! as for relocation if you are not living internationally, i am not so sure. Came over from Canada last August and my job here in Modesto is still pending since as we all know the processing takes forever. I hope you get ICU or ER soon! :)
  15. @buttaflyRN Are you an internationally educated nurse? There are alot of hospitals here in Modesto that will really give you relocation assistance. They are in desperate need for ER and ICU nurses. How long did you have to wait for your license?
