Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Published

I am interested to hear anyones experience in endorsing their license into CA. I used the online endorsement as well as the livescan fingerprinting. Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks

Hello, I am currently a student in a BSN program in South Dakota. I was curious if any of you could recommend taking the NCLEX in California, or taking it in South Dakota and trying to transfer to California? I don't know which would be quicker. Another option, I could take NCLEX in Arizona (compact state) and then work while waiting to transfer to California! I hope they figure this all out, so ridiculous!

FYI it doesn't matter where you physically take the NCLEX. You can take it in any state to get licensed in any other state. It just depends on which state you select for licensure when you're signing up to take the NCLEX. Your application to test goes to that state's nursing board, and they determine if you're eligible to test. CA's BRN is slow about ATTs and licensure by endorsement so it'll be a process whether you get licensed directly in CA or somewhere else and then try to get endorsed for a CA license too.

I received a letter today to send a clear copy of my social security via email to my analyst. Otherwise they didn't asked for anything more. I'm int'l grad too.

They asked for my SSN card, Philippine and Canadian license, Nursing diploma. My school sent my transcript, and educational breakdown and stuff. I included a letter they sent to me in 2007 that I qualified for a California license pending SSN.

Hello! For those of you that had your status disappear. How long after, did it take until your license posted? I applied online 8/19 and my status disappeared 9/26. I've tried calling but someone hangs up the phone. Thanks!

I applied in March 25, 2016

received my permanent California RN license 09/26

it took 6 months :sniff:

Just called in, I was told to call today per my phone call on 9/13. All of my pieces have been received just now on the call log which means that my pieces and parts will go to someones desk ASAP rather than waiting around until someone gets to it. She said Breeze basically sucks and they dont get updates until BoRN updates them, she said "it's an expensive program that really doesnt do anything" She also told me I should know something in 2 to 2 1/2 weeks.
