Timeline for endorsing RN license to CA

Update on my app! I mailed my application on 6/14, I didnt see the online part of the app process , it was received on 6/17 I sent it via priority mail. My state endorsement papers were mailed the same day and my check from my state was cashed on 6/22. My check to the BoRN was cashed yesterday (7/21) so hopefully I'll start seeing something on Breeze soon :) :) :) Never been so happy to see $149 taken out of my bank account!!

status is pending on Breeze, just same old missing education information so I'm assuming that means my fingerprints are ok?

Ugh, that sucks Ctabs!!!! I am so so sorry, I would be upset beyond belief! Where are you moving to? What are you considering doing for work in the meantime?

I'll be in San Diego; I'm moving on 8/3. Thankfully I have money saved up that I can get by for a few more months, and I still have one more check from my last job. If it gets to be past 3 or so months, then I'll have to start looking into something to do for work.

Not necessarily. My breEZe account showed as open/pending for weeks, and I just found out this past week that my fingerprints were rejected (15 weeks after my application was received).

I sent my application in March, which they received March 22, 16 and didn't tell me they rejected my fingerprints until June. My fingerprints were unfortunately rejected twice so now they're doing a name search.

I also have a small citation on my record so it has to go through the enforcement committee first before going back to the licensing area. It's absurd.

Luckily my work is letting me extend my 30 days notice until the end of September but for having sent my RN Endorsement Application-it will be 6 months by the time I get my license.

Were you told how long a name search would take? Just trying to prepare myself in the event my second set of fingerprints are rejected.

Wow I also have to go through enforcement, Im gonna call them tomorrow and tell them to disregard that temp license application since it will prob take 6 months to get licensed. I sent in a USPS money order and it hasn't been cashed yet. I hope they don't get mad at me but thats just ridiculous because it will prob take at least 6 months. :up:

No update for me yet. Sent in application April 18. It was received may 4. No deficiencies. Just a waiting game

My deficiencies are blank now too. Have you talked to the BRN?

Why are they processing "international applications" quicker than US applications? Shouldn't they just process them in the order received?

Also, I keep seeing these nurse travel agencies advertise that they have "expedited" CA RN licensing with the BRN. Stating that you will have your license in 4-6 weeks? Doesn't this seem unethical?

I am assuming they just have less international apps... But who knows...

As far as the traveling agencies I actually read that they just say that but they usually don't deliver. Only thing they do is hand it in in person... But who knows.

The whole thing is frustrating.

I am just glad finally moved onto March 15-30th

I have been hearing a lot that it taking people 5-6 months. This is horrible because we are just waiting on a job to open (I'm really kicking myself for not doing this sooner...)
